**OFFICIAL** AP Chemistry 2013 Thread

@ethanamide
I said both of those, but not distinctly.
Do you think I still get the points??

Do you guys think a 95/150 can possibly be a 5? :/

I still can’t figure that one out, that still really is one reason, the volume not changing by defenition would not cause the pressure to increase, as the kinetic energy in the contain increases they collide a) more frequently b) with more force, it looks like unless you can come up with some completely different ideas, we’ll have to settle with that. Perhaps they were trying to make the questions more clear by asking for two reasons, but it only made is less clear.

@randomandwierd, how you put it was as good as any, but the CB works in mysterious ways so I have no idea.

@etisawesomez

Hopefully! Everyone has been talking about how much harder this year’s exam was compared to previous years…perhaps the curve will go that low! Hopefully!!!

@johns123

Why can’t they just release the solutions with the qs so they don’t make everyone so anxious

would 100/150 guarantee a 5 xD It’s so stressful to be borderline.

@etisawesomez

I don’t know…don’t worry, I feel you.
I’m like on the borderline of the borderline…I’m so close it hurts

What was everyone’s projected (low balled) score for each questions, ie, what did you enter into appass and what did it come out as, from what everyone says we can probably get a good idea of how the curve will be.

@randomandweird That would just make it worse, because their scoring guidelines are often very specific, so it will make our scores look even worse.

@johns123

mcq: 53
FRQ 1: 5/9
FRQ 2: 6/10
FRQ 3: 5/9
FRQ 4: 15/15
FRQ 5: 7/9
FRQ 6: 4/8

@randomandweird

best case for me is 40 on frq and 60-65 on mc, then i’m good! but gotta account for those careless mistakes and things i didn’t catch

@johns123

And that would be 100.5

Mc: 63/75
1: 4
2: 6
3: 3
4: 11
5: 4
6: 4

This is lowballed FR (because sometimes the essays look for very specific points I wouldn’t have thought of) and adds up about the same ~102

and @etisawesomez That’s why I always project my scores really low

MC: 50/75
FRQ: 50

This is the worst case scenario–i.e., I don’t think that I missed so many on the MC. If I’m really lucky, maybe I barely scraped a 5.

@etisawesomez

Good luck to us all!!

(I’m low balling this btw, probably higher)
MC: 70/75
1: 9/9
2: 8/10
3: 7/9
4: 15/15
5: 7/9
6: 7/8

Probably a 5, hopefully.

for number 1. a. i) do i have to put a double arrow or can it be like MgF2=> Mg2+ + 2F-

@dragon that’s acceptable as well
