Okay so…what was that…
I didn’t think it was too bad, but I went in prepared for the worst
It wasn’t hard, but I kept running out of time, and by the time we did the conversation I was so out of it that I said almost nothing :(. Oh well, everything else was p good. I’m glad you had a good time with it!
I think I completely messed up the speaking…I wish I’d practiced more listening comprehension. I’ll probably get a three. What part of the exam do you wish you could have studied harder for? To me, it was generally really difficult and a lot of words were unheard of to me…
I wish I studied more vocab just because the mc would’ve been a lot easier if I knew what half of those words were. The mc was by far the hardest for me and it was harder than the released mc we had practiced in class. I’m also really afraid that I’ll stop studying French now.
That was literally the hardest test of my life. I didn’t even know what I was guessing. The multiple choice was death and I couldn’t even hear the conversation. I know what real failure is now. Whoever says it’s easy SHUT UP. I wanted to cry. My dreams of passing have shriveled up and died a slow and painful death. This has been a black hole in my life.
Honestly I kind of agree. The more I think about it, the more mistakes I think I made. The mc was tough but the essay was really not good and the conversation was the hardest for me. I’m trying to be positive tho!
Guys, I have a question. I want to write a thank you note to my French teacher in French, but I don’t know whether I should use ‘tu’ or ‘vous’ in the letter. What do y’all think?
Vous. Unlike Spanish (at least as spoken in the US) where people seem to use tú within seconds of being introduced, in France, tu is really limited to speaking with family, children, dogs, and children/young adults speaking to each other. Adult acquaintances often use vous for a long period of time before switching (if they ever do). Pupil to teacher - definitely vous.
Yeah that’s definitely correct, but personally my French teacher uses tu with all of her students! Vous is the safer bet, like skieurope said
Well that’s teacher to student, so that’s often the case.
Okay, so I’ll go with vous. Is anyone willing to proofread the letter to I make sure I haven’t made any stupid grammar mistakes that’ll make my teacher shake her head?
