official AP Physics B 2011-2012 thread!

hooray…some consolation after i bombed the last half of #7 and possibly bombed the fluid/tube one haha

I got 5, because i made the mistake of misplacing negatives. Make sure all of the negatives are correct, indicating direction.

for the 1.5kg one? also what did you guys get for the density of the oil…i got like 890 something

5 was correct for part a. Yeah I effed up 7… I’m not sure about the tube one, I think I got d wrong but got c fa sho; cause I put below and my teacher confirmed that one today, too

I got 900…what method did you use, I’m not entirely sure mine was correct

yeah i’m pretty sure I totally screwed that part up with the boxes you had to check on the tube one… i thought they would remain at the same level. Oh well, with some extreme luck I might be able to pull off a 5 on this thing

i got like 894. I like found the mass of water and figured the mass of the oil had to be the same or something I can’t remember exactly

I put that they would remain at the same level for d…poops. Yeah, I reeeeeally want a 5. I didn’t feel too bad about free response, multiple choice worries me more honestly.

@blondeonblondesm I think that the answer is 3, not 5. I got the answer 5, but that is because I made a mistake.

i used d=m/v and had to do some funky conversions to change the cms to meters to work for everything

i just set densityh=densityh (g’s cancel out) because I thought pressure would have to be the same at both heights…argh idunnoooo

yeah seriously I guessed on about 80% on the magnetism mcs…there seemed to be a lot of those for some reason it really ****ed me off

are you talking about part a? well 894 is not too far off from 900 so…

@robwashere…are you talking about b or c?

@tdk123 yeah talking about a

@blondeonblondesm Im talking about c

we were talking about how we got 3ish on that one and 5 on b

Oh!!! I’m sorry :P

So can we go over number 4?

a) straight line passing through (0,0)
b) see post 246 for my answer
c) post 247
