Yeah that was a terribly worded question sorry guys. The answers were: best way to cause something to learn - present the CS and then while the CS is going present the US(aka delayed conditioning). Worst way to learn - Present the US and then the CS (aka backward conditioning). It's on pg 88 of barrons.

Another Q: How can you achieve extinction?

ouch=[....

Repeatedly presenting CS without UCS.

If you stop reinforcing (especially fast on a fixed ratio/fixed interval)

Correct berry.

Q: Relating to learning, what is generalization?

Responding with the CR to stimuli similar to the CS.

Correct Soulside.

Q: What is a salient stimuli?

llpitch: When a stimulus similar to the CS also elicits the CR

EDIT:// It's noticeable, so there's a stronger CR.

Pavlov's research on classical conditioning was important because:
A. it highlighted the role of cognitive processes in learning.
B. so many different species of animals, including humans, can be classically conditioned.
C. it demonstrated an essential difference between animal and human learning.
D. of all the above reasons.

Don't know...is there another name for it?

B?
10 char.. a is not right bc its behaviorist

Salient stimuli is on pg90 of Barrons. "Salient stimli are easily noticeable and create a more powerful conditioned response." For example, if you ate some fish and then a couple of hours later got really sick, you would associate fish with getting sick and stay away from fish even if they fish didn't make you sick.

It's definitely B, yes.

Correct, B.

Who would be most likely to emphasize the importance of observational learning?
A. Watson
B. Bandura
C. Skinner
D. Pavlov

Kind of a guess - Bandura?

I like Skinner?

Bandura demonstrated modeling - has to be B

Yup, Bandura.

Which of the following senses is best described as a chemical sense?
