**OFFICIAL** AP Spanish Language 2013 Thread

A prop

I do. We did a practice exam in my class last week and I got a 5 on it, but I think that my teacher is way too generous on the writing and speaking portions (he’s not an actual AP grader). Here’'s how I feel about each section:

listening: I’m already resigned to failure on this one. I’ve tried my best, but I just cannot do this. Does anyone else feel like this section is a bit too hard? They purposely put at least one person in there every time who is literally impossible for any non-native to understand. I’m simply going to try to cut my losses and hopefully get a majority of the questions correct.

reading: I find this section to be incredibly easy. I might run out of time on the last 2-4 questions but I’m not worried about this one.

writing: I’m pretty comfortable with this. I’ve gotten pretty good with the letter. Hopefully the formal comp. is something easy to write about.

speaking: This section is totally either hit or miss for me. With my definite pending failure on the listening section, this is going to be the one that makes or breaks the test for me. While the formal comp. is essentially the same basic thing each year, it’s a bit easier to talk about some than others so hopefully it’s a good one. The simulated conversation usually isn’t too bad, but occasionally there will be one where I totally don’t understand one line. If I mess one part of it up completely but still get through the rest of the informal conversation well, can I still get a 5 on this part?

¡Estoy tan nervioso!

Note - I realize this is cheating, but for the speaking part - can’t you steal ideas from those around you if you don’t know what to say/don’t understand something? Sure, it would cut into your time, but if you just said pues… or o sea… that would feasibly work.

Oh boy, it’s tomorrow. I’ve pretty much accepted the fact that I’ll get a 1 or 2. But I guess I don’t have to send it to any colleges…

Awww collegemonopoly why do you think you’ll get that low of a score?

Are any of you guys taking the Spanish sat 2?

I took it this Saturday (may 4)

Was it hard? Did you think the ap preparation is adequate? I’m not a native speaker so idk if i should take the subject test

This AP will eat me alive.

t = 7.5 hours

May the odds be ever in our favor.

Estoy lista para machacar este examen con mis manos desnudos

Aww, los letras capitales no funcionan en college confidential… estaba tratando de gritar…

Solo bromeaba, este examen pateara mi trasero…

I didnt understand anything from the listening portion with red ants… The jungle music was so distracting. The latter half of the test was a lot better.

I agree the music was completely distracting and I couldn’t focus, About the essay part 2 or B whatever you would like to call it were we suppose to only write about one of the articles or all three?

All three. Though i didnt completely understand the question

Great I did horrible then :’( hopefully there is a big curve this year. Because I only used one article to explain why its healthy etc.

The point of that part is to synthesize information. :frowning: Im pretty sure I flunked the listening and reading comprehension…

Lol I messed up the listening so much it’s embarrassing

Si aprobar

I literally just guessed for two listening selections. I thought I rocked the free response though.
