Official AP Stats Exam Discussion

Feel free to talk about the AP Stats exam in this thread...

But remember, don't give away the answers to specific multiple choices, in fact, articulation of multiple choice questions is completely disallowed. Plus,
do NOT discuss any of the material of the free reponse section within the next 2 days.

Good luck on last preparation everyone! :)

bump! took the test 7 hours ago! the multiple choice were uber easy, but the essays i think were a little bit challenging... what did you all think ?!

everyone's too scared of reprimand by CB to say anything...

Hmm, I wonder if linear regression confidence intervals or hypothesis tests will be on the free respnse. Maybe someone can tell me in code.

(as my account gets deleted)

¡Buena suerte en la cárcel! ¡Ojalá que tú no seas violado en la nalgas!

Yeah...so thoughts, anyone? I drank so much water beforehand and had to pee so bad during the multiple choice that I lost focus. The free response sucked.

i thought the multiple choice was hard and the FR was really easy. i think i was still in lala land during the XC section, then we took a break, I drank a crap load of peach and papaya fruit juice, and had a total epiphany

I thought the Free Response was insanely easy. The multiple choice was also pretty easy. I think I left like 5 blank. It seems like even though this exam is new, the test is already getting massively watered down.

hmm. my only problem with FR was time. i didnt finish. i thought the IT question was easy. but i thought the MC was more challenging than i expected. all in all ; i ****ed it up.

I self studied for stats and well, i found most of it easy

80% of the MC is logic, i mean seriously, it barely involves any computations...mostly reading

The first couple FRQ were real easy as well...

one of em was kinda hard...i kinda lost track of time during the test and so i was rushed but oh well hopefully i did well...whats the percentage of people who get 5s?

(but then again, what do i care, columbia doesnt even accept ap stats....grrrrrrrrrrrrr)

Wow.
This was supposed to be my easiest AP. MC was inSANELY easy, yet FR was somehow...random. Kinda weird, actually. Idk. Vying for those partial credits for a 5-- it shouldn't be that hard.
Anyway, it's ALL OVER!
2 down...many more to go

It was fine IMO but I was burned out by Spanish to even care much about it. Stats was actually easier than I expected, I mean they didn't even throw any curves or surprises. How predictable.

how do you calculate the raw score for AP Statistics?

Stats wasn't bad, Spanish was such a waste though...

raw score is
(MC right)-(1/4)(MC wrong) + (1.875)(FR 1 score) + (1.875)(FR 2 score) + (1.875)(FR 3 score) + (1.875)(FR 4 score) + (1.875)(FR 5 score) + (3.125)(FR 6 score)

In my testing room:
FR = time= bad = didnt finish = :-(
MC = calculator games high scores = hearing people snore= super easy

I agree with the general concensus on here...

multiple choice was easy, very easy
free response was harder, but nothing new

by the way shostakovich, barrons lists the percentage of people who get 5 to be approximately 10%

FR completely new to everyone in my class haha no explanation

I thought it was easier than the practice questions we had been doing in class, so that was a pleasant surprise. How many points do you need for a 4 and 5?

Does anyone here know if there is a way to find out your scale score on the AP Exams? Specifically your scale score on each section? Thanks....
