Official AP US History Thread 2012

Do y’all think the FRQs will be posted online tomorrow? It is the weekend and I’m not sure if the College Board works on weekends…

Alright, so if I talked about the general effects of guadalupe hidalgo, wilmot proviso, compromise of 1850 is that ok? I didn’t mention the specifics of each just the reasons why it caused sectional strife.

I am a freaking genius. I know I got a 5, and I probably only missed one or two MC questions. Suck it!!!

We got a badass here everyone what a bamf!!!

Sent from my HTC PH39100 using CC

i’d love anyone who could email me the list at shreya.chocofever@ gmail dot com pleasee!
personally i thought MC was hard but all three essays were easy. though the MC on some of the other forms was waaayy easier this time. i hope CB compensates for varying difficulties by increasing the percentage of people who get 5’s :stuck_out_tongue: i mean, an 8.1% 5 rate is pretty low for an ap exam!

Can someone send me the compiled anwers list as well? markdjmc@ a o l .com

Can someone send me the lists too? uberasian1@ y a h o o . c o m

Hey, can you also send the list to me? I’m dying to know how I did.

md_9311 at ya hoo .c om

Could I still get a high score on the DBQ if I accidentally said Carnegie was a social darwinist. I said he wanted to set an example for the poor to be motivated to work hard, but I accidentally wrote social darwinist instead of gospel of wealth. That was the only flaw in my entire essay. Do you think I could still get a 6 with that?

Can anyone post the compiled list on Google Docs again? All the docs from last night got pulled by the owners.

List of what?

@notnow
A small error like that doesn’t even cost any points. It’s poor analysis of documents and clunky writing that gets the low score. Unless you have many errors like that, you’ll be fine!
For example, I accidentally said that the Sherman Antitrust Act was passed in 1892, but I then realized it was passed in 1890. However, this small error doesn’t destroy the essay as a whole.
So, at most, I’ll lose 1 point. If you think you wrote a great essay otherwise, don’t worry at all.

For the DBQ, mine was 4 pages and I made points, and then used the documents as examples of my points. My teacher always said NOT to rely on the documents, but to make your analysis and smoothly place the documents in your essay. I used 6 documents. Do you think that I did well?

It’s impossible to tell you how well you did without reading it…but your teacher is right the documents should only be used to complement your essay. My teachers said to think of DBQs as regular free response with extra help. Assuming you did that and wrote coherently, your guaranteed 5+ depending on your outside info.

How detailed are the score reports? I assume they tell us overall score and MC/FRQs/DBQ scores.

@NotElitist I was just asking because Social Darwinists and Gospel of Wealth are complete opposites. Still that is the only document that I misinterpreted

You don’t get anything but the score. However I think your guidance counselor may have your multiple choice and essay scores when you go back to school in the fall

@aweaweg There was a list floating around of almost all the multiple choice and the answers compiled into a Google Document. It was up to 65 when i checked last night.

Wondering if anyone has it saved or knows the link to a new one.

I don’t think the exam was all that hard but I felt so unprepared… considering I did not take APUSH at my school and I self-studied for it in about a week LOL. Hoping for at least a 3 :D

Exo: Who originally created the list? Maybe they still have most of it? But I remember last night alot of trolls were continously deleting it so maybe in the night it was wiped for good… :/
