@MarkTheMarx, just sent you an email. Please send the list! THank you so much!

if i could be emailed the list as well, that would be fantastic. jburger2823@ aol . comThanks a ton to whoever decides to send it to me!!

Anybody knows if the College-Board really checks out these threads?

Ok seriously people no one is going to go through and send each individual person the list. Message the name provided above and stop asking on here!

Thanks dfree124, I’m pretty sure I aced that essay then!

@Mark

last year for the ap world and world sat 2, people literally discussed every single question and it was like a 60 page thread. nothing happened. people have been discussing answers on this thread for ages.

since all the tests have been administered, it really makes very little difference. so if your worried about sending the answers, no one will care at all lol and this thread will die in a couple weeks anyways.

Can anyone who has the list please send it to me? Thank you!

can someone send me the list to me too, please???

Would anyone know if using an example that was out of the designated time period would completely wreck my essay?

Specifically, on question 3 I talked about the Kansas-Nebraska Act and the Bleeding Kansas incident even though it occurred after the designated period. The rest of my essay used information from within the time period.

Since I didn’t do something like base my entire essay off this event, I figure that it’s not too dire and the readers will just ignore it as erroneous info, but I’d like to make sure.

It should not hurt your essay more than one or two points. Two being highly unlikely. I can tell the College Board chose 1850 because they knew so many people would associate with the Kansas Nebraska Act with this topic without thinking about the time period. I think they intentionally did it to have an easy basis to separate the 7’s from the 8’s and the 8’s from the 9’s.

Alright cool, I don’t mind about my essays as long as I score at least a 5 out of 9 on them. I’m assuming a 5 on the 9 point scale isn’t too terribly difficult?

For Euro last year my teacher was an official grader and everyone in that class either got a 4 or a 5 on every essay we did. It’s not incredibly hard to get a 5 but its definitely not easy. The most important thing that separates the average 4 from the 5 is a well developed thesis and the underdeveloped thesis. This year though my US teacher always gave us 7 or 8’s on our essays and that just wasn’t realistic. Seven and up is really reserved for phenomenal essays. I’m pretty sure my Euro teacher said he would only get a 7 every couple hundred essays he read and when they did get an 8 or 9 they would share the essay with the whole table because of how rare it was to get one. Don’t be disheartened by this though because most people get 5’s on all of their essays and still get a 5. Fives on the essays are really all you need for a 5.

One 7 per couple hundred of essays? Are you sure that your teacher isn’t just an unusually strict grader?

The AP history teachers in my school certainly give scores in the 6-9 range quite often, with many scores in the 6-8 range for any given essay. It’s not like that seems absolutely outlandish either; a 4 or 5 already equates to a C or D grade which suggests you didn’t do too well…

Yes with the curve at my school a 5 on an essay is a B. No one got above an 87 in the class and only one 6 was given out the entire year. He probably is on the stricter side, but two people have to look at each essay and they have to be within one point of each other. Like I said getting 5’s on all of the essays puts you in line for a 5 overall on the test as long as you do pretty well on the multiple choice. They don’t expect to you write essays on the level of 7’s, 8’s, and 9’s, hence why they are rarely given out.

Well, and AP Euro is an entirely different system of grading with the whole expanded core and everything…

I know it’s a little late, but whoever has the MC list, would you kindly send it to me? thanks ! icy_babe01 @ h o t m a i l . c o m.

If you could, send me the list, as well. Via PM, preferably.

PM the MC list too, please :)

What is the MC list?

List of 98% of the MC questions from this years test.

How did someone get that?! Isn’t that kinda illegal?
