@DogLover99 That’s such great news! I was fortunate to have the opportunity to enter my code last night. Luckily I was brought to the personalized acceptance page!!!
So this must mean good news(:
@Ivwannabe I’m from Texas too!

First of all, I want to say that all you girls are winners!!! With as much energy, tenacity and curiosity as you exhibited here, you will definitely go far in life. If Barnard is in your future, that’s great. If not, you will continue to develop great skills at another great institution. Secondly, congrats to all who received an early present. Sounds like Texas will be well represented at Barnard next year. My D is also from Texas.

From past experience on these boards I would say those who entered their code and were directed to the admitted student’s page ARE in. Those who got different results: DON’T assume you are not in. Glitches happen and that is why they took the site down.

Best to you all!

I live in CT and I was so excited and nervous to check the mail today. Unfortunately, nothing from Barnard! These days have been going by so slow in anticipation for the results! Good luck to everyone and hopefully we will be classmates in the near future! :)

I GOT IN! My letter came today! I live in eastern Long Island, NY Good luck, everyone!!

@jamiedeluca, CONGRATULATIONS! :)

how did the acceptance envelope/letter look like? what was included in the package?
i live in nj and i’m still waiting!

Hey girls! I live in nyc and I’ve been following this thread closely ever since I applied. I also just got my acceptance letter, its in a huge priority mail envelope and came with a barnard black folder inside with a bunch of papers detailing the rest of the process. Best of luck to everyone, I hope to see you all in fall!!!

I’m with @jess! No mail here in CT!

Congrats to those who have gotten in! I’m hoping to get my decision tomorrow! Talk to you all later!

Congrats to those who got their letters! I hope us ct-ers get our letters tomorrow!!!

Congrats to all the lovely ladies that got in! You all worked very hard for it
How common do you think a glitch in the portal is?

Hey congrats to the girls who already got in! Does your portal code for the spring acceptance link work ?

First time in a thread for me. My daughter also applied early admission. At the beginning of the process she was sure she was going to be admitted. I was sure too. Now I feel unsure. She is in the middle of finals so she doesn’t want to know. She has to concentrate in her finals. I am trying to prepare her for a rejection, but I don’t want to be pessimistic either.
Would like to know: You girls that have received your acceptance letters, What did you write about in your personal statement? Was it academic?
Are you girls a Virtuoso cellist?

Hi everyone! As I’ve been anxiously awaiting my letter from Barnard, I’ve been obsessively trolling the internet to see who has been accepted/rejected. I’m super anxious for my letter to come! Everyday I’ve been running to my mailbox, the neighbors must think I’m crazy. I hope to meet you all next fall!

I’m applying RD but I wish you all nothing but the best of luck! Reading this thread literally made me smile because I do exactly the same things (running to the mailbox everyday!!) when waiting for big decisions.

I’m really interested to know (when the decision comes in…) how many of those accepted had interviews and how many did not. I only recently found out I would be able to afford applying to Barnard and missed the RD interview window. I LOVE alumnus interviews and feel like mine always add to my applications + Barnard’s site says they “recommend” an interview. I’m worried now that not having one will put me at a significant disadvantage…really interested to know what everyone else thinks.

I doubt it will hurt you. But any opportunity to show serious interest and enthusiasm can only help—such as visiting campus, sitting in on classes, etc.

I am going to assume that a visit would not be feasible, however, since you mentioned finances being an issue. So hang in there and try to focus on the fact that you will end up where you are meant to be…

Best to you and to everyone at this exciting time!
