Congratulations to all who got in. For those who didn’t, everything happens for a reason, you will end up where you are meant to be!

[*] Why you think you were accepted/wait listed/denied: Show passion in your essays, and work extremely hard on your personal statements-- I’m sure my essays got me admitted into Cal.

@DogeBoi Thanks. Yes, have a few options including ucla, ucsd, usc and east coast top universities … So not all bad. I also appreciate UC system in general. But it really gets frustrating when really top performers get rejected by UCB, while we keep paying high taxes. I found UCB in general really strange with such policy as not even giving applicant choice of a second major and then rejecting outright with no proper explanations. Just beyond understanding what I could have done better or different! When I toured also I found staff not friendly. Other UCs are much more courteous.
Being a public school UCB can be atleast bit nicer and transparent to us taxpayers. Really hope some congress person take a note and look into it, at-least for future California kids.

I am an international student from South Korea and got accepted!!
So happy!!!
oh, and may I have one question?
I wonder what an exact tuition fee is. (I’m gonna live on campus)
Some say it’s over $60000
but according to its website <a href=“Cost - Office of Undergraduate Admissions”>http://admissions.berkeley.edu/costofattendance</a>
I guess last year’s tuition was about $56000.
It is really probable that tuition has increased this year so may exceed $60000
but I hope I could refer to the exact document.
Anyone from international who knows well about it?
Berkeley is my dream college and I hope money does not make us go through hard times…

I was really starting to freak out. I came into this thinking no way in hell was I going to get into Berkeley. I just applied for the heck of it. I’m so glad I did. Got in for Spring 2015, but going on FPF in 2014. Can’t wait to be a golden bear. Getting accepted was one of the coolest moments. I had a soccer game last night so I was at the field when I checked it. My whole team came running over to congratulate me, jumping and yelling. It’s something I’ll never forget. Congrats to everyone that got accepted, and to those who didn’t, you have to believe that you’ll do well wherever you end up, because you will. :)
