congrats to all who got in!

bluirinka, ED Huntsman/College, prediction: deferred

I GOT DEFERRED!!!!! I'M SO HAPPY I WASN'T REJECTED!
1440, 4.0, 790/740/740
5 on AP History
good grades in all honors and AP's, MRA, (total of 4 advanced, 7 honors and 5 APs) but a terrible rank (even though rank wasn't on my transcript), aka 20/149

Nat'l Merit Commended
Mt. Holyoke Book Award
ostensibly good essays and recs

interesting ECs but a LOT of them: i.e., Editor of Lit Mag, regional/county choirs and soprano section leader in concert choir, Russian radio talk-show host, Varsity tennis 2 years (league champs, 4th in county), work at Dunkin' Donuts 20 hrs/week, Chem/Physics/Bio Teams

honestly though i knew i had absoultely no shot at Huntsman, and College was iffy at best...which is why i'm just thrilled that i don't have to face my school and tell them i was deferred.

and honestly, it's okay to be deferred and rejected, guys! My friend got deferred Yale ED and got accepted in the RD pool...they wanted to see how he'd do in his 6 APs. Deferral would be PERFECT if i wasn't expecting crap grades from bio this marking period lol. But it works really well this way! They look over your app again, maybe with updated brag sheets, and then it counts toward you that you applied ED to begin with. Rejection is fine too because you know you'll end up somewhere great and have the best 4 years of your life.

should i send them updated activity sheets? since i sent them i've done stuff like organize a gift drive to a women's recovery house...

seriously, everyone. choco, king, kimqwerty, mega, you all deserve it. Anu, it's really not the end of the world! we can stay friends now lol.
