You are all thieving liars.

how do you know this?

How do you know this?
Different schools have different needs. Stanford wants more from the South, Harvard needs basketball players, Vandy more Jewish and Asian representation. most all of these great stats applicants will end up somewhere good.

accepted! yay

Bestwhit I'm confused because 400 would be about 35% and that's the number I recall from last year.

I think you will find the results from all top colleges to look as 'random' as these, which really are not so random. Where lower stats exist it's usually because of a hook or tip factors, sometimes not apparent in the info we're given. Where high stats were rejected it really tells us the subjective/soft factors count a tremendous amount in this highly competitive environment.

Think about what has to give when you want representation from every state and dozens of countries, different backgrounds and socioeconomics, musicians and artists, scientists and writers, quaterbacks and goalies.....all in a class of 1100.

the application can't be as random as it seems! i'm inclined to believe that essays play a HUGE role. anyone willing to post their dartmouth essays? if you are, please also indicate whether you were rejected, deferred, or accepted. i hope there's a notable difference among the essays...if there isn't, the process really must be draw of the luck.

please PM me if you're not comfortable posting on the thread!

Accepted!!!!
2160 sat

Congrats everyone who got accepted, and to those who didn't you should still be happy because your stats are pretty amazing as far as I can tell.

I'm a Cornell ED hopeful, and we find out tomorrow. Yikes!

*** this is so freakin random...i'm sorry to everyone who totally deserved to get in you guys are amazing

wow what is this abomination? I think some people are embellishing their stats though, so I'll wait for tomorrow to make up my mind about Ivy ED admissions this year...

fancy seeing you here, nj ^
hahah same, i'm actually really nervous

it's SO RANDOM, JEEZ
