Official Class of 2014 University of Michigan Decisions Thread

got in today. 27 ACT 3.9 GPA applied early september to the Nursing School

so if I get rejected I will have no idea until december 24th?

What if you applied preferred admit to Ross? Will that increase the decison time?

mst: actually, if you are deferred, you won’t hear until later in the spring…and you could then be waitlisted (as soooo many UMich applicants usually are)…I actually do not ever remember an actual rejection over the last few years, but I could be wrong…

more apps friday?

peacelovejulie-I applied as a Ross preadmit. I had all things in on Oct. 14 and I got accepted today.

First of all, kudos to those who got in today. Now, everybody else, please take a deep breath. I am writing just to let those of you know who are agonizing over not hearing yet that my son was in state, early submitter, and DID NOT hear until December last year. Yet he was still a high enough admit to have received a nice scholarship. So do not panic about the vicissitudes of the timing of decision. There is no way to know the whys and wherefores. I know it’s tough, but technically EA means getting some kind of notification BY DEC 24, and nothing more…so it’s not exactly “rolling” right now (so Peacelovejulie, no need to wonder why, just wonder “when” : ). Good luck, all.

I heard they post decisions alphabetically.

S admitted today, engineering. App complete 10/7. SAT 2050; sat 2 chem 780 math2 740; weighted gpa 4.44 on 5.0 scale oos.

those that got in… what does your last name begin with?

S.

Guys, now that we’re in, what’s next!?

seriously? are there more results tomorrow?
i had my last transcript from my old schoolw as there on the 8th of october, but everything else was actually in by late september and i didnt hear back today
and i honestly dont think i should be a borderline decision because umich is one of my safeties/target schools that i should get into…
now im a little confused and upset?

Starts with ‘V’

peacelovejulie-I didn’t get accepted TO Ross, just LSA. 33 ACT. My ECs are very meh except that I own my own business. It’s not huge though.
Also, T for me.

though unlikely, hoping for more decisions tomorrow.

My son was admitted to the College of Engineering this morning. Our last name begins with a D. Whoever came up with this myth that admission decisions are made alphabetically does not belong to go to Mich.

I just got into Michigan Engineering today! My last name begins with an S, so the alphabetical thingy is wrong.

I’ve always wanted to fill this out. :)
