@TomSrOfBoston Yeah, I applied for both. I got some standard loans or whatever (as expected), but that’s it.
@csheller16 Check that scholarship again. Usually they tell you your amount for frosh year because you are on campus the full year, then $xx amount per semester after that (since some years you are on co-op, etc.) In your case, it looks like $28k the first year and $14k per semester ($28k per year) after that… even better than you thought! Congrats.
@TomSrOfBoston do you know anything about the Dean’s vs. Honors Scholarship? (see post 1120)

Kind of surprised I didn’t get deferred! I thought they would for sure see me as a good fit for NU.in and subsequently defer me, but guess not!! Yay!!!
I was also invited to go to NU Preview Day in October, and they gave me a travel voucher, so I guess they reciprocated my interest and took it seriously:)
Very happy now and have two more early schools to go!!! Good luck to everyone and never give up. Remember that admissions are flawed and schools do not define you. You will all end up somewhere great. 
@musiclover214 honors scholarship is new this year. It appears to have a higher maximum than the Dean’s.

@TomSrOfBoston thank you. One more quick question. I am a national merit semifinalist and on the merit scholarships page it says that the National Scholarship (the automatic 30k/year for NMF) “will replace Dean’s, Excellence, Connections, or International Scholars awards.” Is it therefore safe to assume that the University Honors will not be replaced by a National Scholarship? Receiving both concurrently is the only way I can afford to attend…

Lol rejected from honors college rip. Anyone know how important that is? Also the net price calc said they’d give me 30k in need based aid and I only got 0k so what’s up with that
