** Official Connecticut College Class of 2021 Discussion Thread **

Hi Guys! I just wanted to make a new discussion for anyone at there who applied ED to Conn College like I did!!!

out* haha

I’m thinking about ED2 to Conn Coll, would you mind posting your stats?

yeah no problem! so I applied ED1 to Conn:

My intended major is Psychology or Biology, with a minor in Spanish.

My school offers a lot of AP and Honors classes, but these are pretty limited until junior year.

High School courses:
9th grade: Orchestra, English 1, Geometry honors, Spanish 2 honors, Biology, Seminar 9 (required), and World Studies.
I took Algebra 2 over the summer as a credit course so I could skip a year of math.
10th grade: US history, English 2 honors, Seminar 10 (required,) Orchestra, Chemistry, Pre-Calculus, and Spanish 3 honors.
11th grade: Orchestra, AP Environmental Science, English 3 honors, AP Calculus AB, Physics Honors, Cultural Anthropology, and Spanish 4 honors.
12th grade: English 4 (honors is not offered), Probability and Statistics, AP Biology, AP Psychology, AP Spanish Language, and Orchestra

My GPA is an 88.3 weighted (out of 100. my school does not do it on a 1-5 scale). I have received honor roll each semester. My school does not offer a class rank since it is pretty small.

Extracurriculars:
I have played tennis ever since I was 7 years old… I played varsity at my high school all 4 years, playing the second best position as a freshman and then playing the top position (1st singles) my sophomore, junior, and senior year. I am also looking to play at Conn and have talked with the coach.
I have played cello since I was 10, used to take private lessons but i don’t anymore. I play in the pit orchestra at my school.
I work 3 jobs and work basically anytime I am not in school or participating in my extracurricular activities. I was in the yearbook club for 3 years in high school. I am in a business club as well and part of a tour guide club, so when people are looking to apply to my school we give them tours of the campus.

SAT and ACT Scores: Not submitting, they weren’t as high as I wanted them to be haha
I did not apply for Financial Aid

I recommend interviewing if you do decide to apply ED2 or even regular. Because there are no supplements for the application, an interview is considered the equivalent.

Anyways yeah! sorry if I left anything out!

Thanks; that’s really helpful! Sounds like you are a perfect fit for Conn! Interestingly, I play varsity tennis and am a tour guide at my school too. I have already had an interview and it went great! Thanks again and good luck next year!

thanks so much! and wow that is so cool!!! good luck to you too! you should definitely consider applying ED2 to Conn!!!

when is the decision coming out at what time and date?

Tomorrow at 7pm (eastern time)

Thanks, wish you all the best!

I know some colleges send out letters the same day that it is posted online, but the letters arrive beforehand. Do you happen to know if letters will come tomorrow as well?

I actually have no idea but I am assuming no!

We’ll all be finding out in a little over an hour. Best of luck to all of ya!

good luck everyone <3!!
