what is japan homestay?

Is it just me, or were there significantly less CC people who applied to Dartmouth RD? I feel like more people applied ED than RD on here! Also, if you look at previous years, there were wayy more people to post their info.

^ That's what I thought too.

Waitlist Letter:

Dear Homie G Doggg who we didnt accept yet,

The Admissions Committee has completed a review of more than 16,000 applications for admission, and we have placed your name on the waiting list. If additional places become available for the Class of 2012, we will review your application immediately. You are encouraged to remain on the waiting list if Dartmouth continues to be of serious interest to you.

In reviewing applications for the first-year class, we faced the difficult task of selecting students for 1,070 available places. The competition among applicants for the waiting list was also very rigorous; each of these students demonstrated qualities that would lead to success and contribution at Dartmouth.

At this time, we do not know if we will be able to use the waiting list; therefore, it is difficult to predict your ultimate chances for admission. I would appreciate hearing from you, as soon as possible, about your college plans. Please visit our Waiting List Reply Form for more information and to reply to our offer of a place on the waiting list. We will try to reach a final decision about your candidacy as soon after May 1st as possible. In the meantime, you should secure a place in another college even if you do decide to wait to hear from us. I hope the next few weeks go well for you.

Sincerely,

Maria Laskaris
Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid

o.O

I am shocked.

@ Red Remote:

After reading that, let me be the first of many to give you a collective:
HOLY S***!

Maybe did you lie on your application or something, and they caught you? That would be the only thing to explain it.

Pbt. I was totally first! Though you did give the collective...

But aside from that -- this is ridiculous. NO. FREAKING. WAY.

still shocked.

Yeah... I just ran a CC "background check", and it looks like he's not a troll. Either it's true, or he has been keeping a consistent lie for a few months... I guess I believe him, for now.

I'd have a hard time believing it if I heard red remote got rejected by Harvard, let alone Dartmouth.

Psssh. Posted on April 1st? I doubt that's true :/
