Does anyone remember the last two questions of the Mangroves Passage and what they put for them? I was feeling awful on exam day so I couldn’t concentrate very well, and I ended up guessing on the last two :(

@negativekarma Read the thread then ask questions.

What did you guys get for the violinist’s feelings about baseball and music?

What were the choices? I think I said something about… nope don’t remember sorry

It was the most boring one. Like she is disappointed the baseball season is over but is looking forward to playing.

I said she was accepting that the season was over and excited to focus on violin in the summer. I had trouble with the “real” one too but eventually decided on “untouched by humans / natural habitat” just because the sentence was set up talking about taking shelter from the desert heat, and THEN talked about how city foxes “followed suit.”

@wallrus I don’t agree I said what @emeraldevi said. Disappointed but excited for violin. It clearly stated near the beginning of the passage that she was happy to be up early in the morning for her lesson.

That’s what I put I think… forgot the options.

I put that she was accepting that softball season was over and was looking forward to the violin or something

Oh my bad I thought you meant playing baseball in spring. There was a choice that said that.

For foxes, anyone remember the question about what the scientist was trying to study/do? I know one of the answers was “keep on endangered species list” which wasn’t right, but I can’t remember the rest. Something about studying how they’ve adapted?

And what was the overall purpose of the passage-- was it the answer choice with “to inform”?

@emeraldEvi
I put down B for that one, which was scientists studying their genes to see how they adapt to humans affecting their environment or something like that…

Were any of the last 3 answers B? Pretty much had to randomly guess on the last section which is frustrating because I got a 34 on a practice reading test yesterday.

I second @readymed. I said how they adapt around humans basically.

I put something about Genes so they can help them or something. Not sure if that’s the same as what you’re saying

That’s wrong I’m pretty sure. It never mentioned genes and the whole passage was about them adapting to the way their habitat has changed from humans.

I think there was an answer choice involving adaptation that didn’t involve genes? And I think that one might be right. Wish I could remember the specifics.

The main purpose had something to do with the fox’s interaction with humans.

I’m not so sure about the baseball-violin one. The passage specifically stated later on that the girl was fed up with violin playing and even quit during the baseball season.

What will the curve be on this section? -1, -2, -3 etc.
