PLEASE someone answer this question:

Are the ACT scores sent in the mail for everyone, or do you have to choose that option when registering to take the test?

PLEASE someone answer this question:

Are the ACT scores sent in the mail for everyone, or do you have to choose that option when registering to take the test?

You have to choose when registering.

i wish i could remember if i chose to get it by mail for my D… can’t figure out where i can even check this on the act website.

oh well, we’ll be up midnight monday night to check it (central time).

Has anyone who’s received their scores determined the curve yet?

Whatss the curveeeeeeee

My guesses:
English 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 30
Math 36 35 34 33 32 31 31 30
Reading 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 30 29
Science 36 35 34 33 32 32 31 30 29 29

Nothing in the mail today again :(

Looks like I’ll be seeing them online first.

ugh, I live in Illinois and I haven’t received mine yet. It says tested on the website, but it also says they’ll be released dec. 27th through feb.3rd I believe. How’d you guys get your Scores so fast?? if they send the higher scores faster does that mean the low scores will end up coming during the end of January/early February?

^ No, they don’t do that. I think if you selected mail as your primary source for your score report then you’ll get them faster this time around.

Sometimes they come in the mail sooner if you tested without writing.

I got Mine in the Mail Today

English: 27
Math: 28
Reading: 25
Science: 23

Composite: 26 guess I’ll be back in February

Can those who received their scores PLEASE write their sectional score and the corresponding raw score? (i.e. 32…35/38) It would be so greatly appreciated.

^^^ 38?

38?!?!?

wat

^What’s the problem? That was an example of a raw score, which is different for each section.

I’m in Utah.

I don’t know how to compute raw scores from the breakdowns but here are my sectional scores:

English: 27
–Usage/Mechanics: 14
–Rhetorical Skills: 14

Mathematics: 27
–Pre-Algebra/Elem. Algebra: 17
–Algebra/Coord. Geometry: 14
–Plane Geometry/Trig.: 12

Reading: 32
–Social Studies/Sciences: 16
–Arts/Literature: 16

Science: 24

I’m really upset about my science score. I hated those passages. This score makes it look like I’m not good at science, when it’s one of my strongest subjects :(

Halemcck: what’s your reading strategy ? My score went down in reading !

Each subscore is out of 18, in case anyone doesn’t know. So, that tells us how many we can miss to get the corresponding score.

I don’t really have a strategy, I’m just really good at the reading parts of every test I’ve ever taken. Looking for key words and reading quickly would be my strategy if I had to name one.

It’s not much of a strategy but I always read the questions first and answer the “in line …” question first and then do the general passage questions. Pretty common sense stuff but it’s helped me out.

So according to the score of halemcck and his breakdown, the curve seems to be
Math: -8=27
Reading= -4=32
English: -8=27
