******official December 2007 Scores Thread*****

670M
760CR
740W

= 2170

:( I wanted a 2250 at least...
ah well, next time?

My first SAT ever...
CR: 690 :(
M: 720
W: 770
12 Essay :)
2180. I'm not very happy. I guess I'll retake.

I hate math.

well, this blows.

I bombed this and I knew it. Wow. I'm a disgrace to my class (who got all over 2200).

i've had enough of a bad week. Wow. this sucks. I didn't think I'd do that badly on writing or math - I thought I pwned those two.

Critical Reading 680
Math 760
Writing 720
Multiple Choice 68 (score range: 20-80)
Essay 11

Total: 2160
This blows chunks.

Are the the Dec scores higher thn average? Seems like everyone did so well (expect me).

One of my problems is I thought I did not leave any mistakes on CR. I went through all the questions here, felt I did not leave any mistakes. Same goes for grammar. Felt no mistakes. Then my results proved me otherwise.
How many of u kinda have the same experience today? Do u think CB screwed up? Or did I screw in the bubbles. I am second guessing myself like crazy today(:
Ughhh

wow, i thought my 2090 was good, but so many people kill my score. im a senior, so it's too late

So this is technically my second SAT, since I took it the old SAT in 8th grade
I'm a junior now.

Critical Reading - 800
Math -700
Writing - 640
MC - 60
Essay -10
Total - 2140/2400 & 1500/1600

Well I'm both excited and disappointed! :-) /:-(

Excited cause I know my PSAT score was mostly a fluke. I'm one of those unlucky people whose score went down after taking the PSAT from their sophomore to junior year.... CR-74/68, M-70/67, W-54/58 ... So yeah getting that score report didn't bode well for my Dec. SAT. ha.

But I'm dissapointed because I have a lower Math SAT score the one I recieved in my 8th grade SAT test. I had a 730 than. It's pretty pathetic that I have a lower score now. I want to blame it on not having those sort of math classes anymore and being fresh. The only math classes I've had at my highschool since freshman year is AP Stats, and I self-studied AP Calc AB last spring. I thought it was so funny when someone earlier mentioned how can they get a lower math SAT score when they have AP Calc. I think it's just our lame responsibility to keep our mind fresh of those material.

Hmm. I wonder if I'm allowed to superscore from my 8th grade SAT. Then I'd have 2170.

I think I'll register for the SAT II Math II/C Subject Test for Jan 26. and study over break.

Do you guys think some one is naturally bad at a subject and their is little hope of massive improvement, 'cause obviously grammer and the writing section are my weakness. I didn't even know it was untill I took the ACT in 9th grade and got a 24 subscore.
Is their like a terminial velocity for improvement in a section? Are there cases here of people who improved from the mid-600's writing to the mid/high 700's in writing.

I went from a 650 writing (62MC, 10E) to an 800 writing (78MC, 12E). Anything's possible.

Reading: 770
Math: 800
Writing: 800
(m/c - 76, essay - 12)

woo! my first time so i'm definitely not retaking! YES!

2400

Except for echelon, you guys have no idea how beautiful 3 800's are.

we can imagine...

All you guys that scored 2400 have no idea how beatiful having a life is.

plus, i doubt they are telling the truth.

I didn't get a 2400, but I got damn close (2340) and I have a life! =P

Soo I'm a UK junior, and this was my first time taking, and I'm defo lookin at HYP applications for now...any advice on retaking/not retaking would be welcome please seeing as I have no idea how I stand by comparison to American students applyin for the same colleges.

Maths - 710
Reading - 730
Writing - 720 (essay 8, MC 76/80)

Overall: 2160/2400

Hey! A 2400 does not exclude anybody from the ability to have fun. I believe most people who say they got one, although I've had suspicions.

vimto, that score is quite low for a HYP applicant in the international pool (especially because you come from an English speaking country). Since you're a junior, I think you might try to retake it and break 2200. If you can get to around 2250, that's a decent score to have for HYP.

what about CR 800, M 680, W 780?

Do colleges look at the writing?

And is my low math score going to be a detriment if I'm applying to HYP etc?

Thanks amb3r :)

if you take the jan 26 SAT, how do schools like harvard use it in admission if the deadline is jan 1?

Well that's a pretty good score, iirc that'd be in the 98-99th percentiles, however for a HYP international hopeful I think it'd be on the low end. If you're a junior then retake it, and maybe prep this time.

Oh that's really nice, imply that no one who gets a perfect score has a life. Because you know... 2340 is SO much different from a 2400.
