Alright this is the last SAT for seniors to take.
Most of us who will take this one are veterans.
This is my third time taking it, so I basically know what to do on it.
This is the last time we will be able to take it, so GOOD LUCK to everyone (because you will need it :D)

So everyone discuss on how you are preparing, if preparing at all. And your thoughts heading into this. No pressure to anyone!

Well this would be my first time taking the SAT as a junior. Looks like my Thanksgivings break is going to be focused on this and SAT grammar (gets me every time)

Good luck everyone!

I don’t think i am going to study for the SAT. Basically, i just want the reading passages to be easy, and i will be good.

This will be my third time as well
I guess I am a SAT veteran haha. I have 800 in CR and am aiming for 800 in writing and math now

@Mystic7

How did you get a 800 in CR? Do you read the passages first, then answer the questions? Or do you read the questions first, then go to the passages. And do you have any additional advice. CR is my worst.

I always read the questions first; sometimes I don’t even read the entire passage if I can get away with it. I do the questions that refer to specific lines first and save the general questions for last.

I always look for textual support. If I find myself trying to rationalize why an answer is right without it being directly supported by the text, I know I’ve let my own biases get in the way and need to read the sentence again. The trick to CR is that the answer is ALWAYS in the text and cannot just be inferred, even if your assumption makes sense and could even be correct.

Did some math sections today as practice. My biggest problem with math is that I rush through it. It’s really frustrating – I can rush through CR and writing without much issue – but with math I always make silly errors when I do so. I’m trying to slow myself down and read the questions at least 3 times.

With writing, it’s mainly the essay that gives me trouble lol. I have chickenscratch handwriting and can’t spell very well, so that definitely brings down my score

The SAT is only in a couple more weeks and I still haven’t studied. There are too many colleges on my mind to worry about. Hopefully the test and the curve will be good.

Taking it second time as a Junior. I’m happy with my practice grades. I just need to be consistent.

If the deadline for certain colleges are Jan 1. Will the SAT scores get there in time. Because they are coming out on the 23 December. Also, will I be able to do My Choice (SAT) for these or not?

@APmaster007 I believe the scores will get their in time (someone else please confirm). I heard that the colleges (and your school/Naviance) actually get the scores before you do.

I’m not sure if Score Choice will change any of this. They have the scores ready, so it shouldn’t take them any time to send it in.

So will I be able to use score choice?
