Watson 123.

haru07,

It seems Basu was correct...Watson 123 is one of the larger rooms in Watson Hall (260 square feet). It has a built-in closet, too, which is always nice.

"I know from experience that only those who have lived in Ruef know how to find their way around in there!" Actually, I lived in Ruef way back in the day... and occasionally there were times when I got confused! The secret is to remember which staircase you are on. One is wider than the other. My son will be in Ruef, I told him when he finds out which staircase is closer to his room he should always use the same stairs. (Enter the same side under the archway every time).

Justin, I have a question about the beds. When I was there, the matresses were supported by springs. The college has replaced all the furniture since then. With the new beds are the mattresses supported by springs, or are they on a wood platform? I ask because my son had back trouble last year, it didn't go away until we bought him a new, firm mattress. If the college mattresses are on springs we'll probably bring a bed-board, but if they're on wood then we don't need to.

Lafalum84,

All of the mattresses in Ruef Hall (and all the other residence halls) are supported by wood platforms. FYI, I recommend bringing an egg crate foam pad to make the bed more comfortable.
