does the financial package always come with the decision?
Yeah, on the official website, it says ,“Admitted students will receive a financial aid award notice with their official admissions notification.”
They always come with the decision unless you sent in your financial aid info late or it hasn’t gotten processed (for some reason it’s happened to a few people). So if your account still says “awaiting” for a few of the items you needed to submit for financial aid, you won’t get an offer until later if you’re admitted.
what if some of the required financial forms were missing and they weren’t able to finalize a package?
I had this happen. I called them and explained the issue. They said as long as they are in before a certain date (most likely around when RD is) it would be ok. They told me I needed all the forms in to get financial aid, but if you’re not able to for some reason you might be able to call and ask them what the best next step is. I think it’s best to call them and ask about your specific circumstance, as their answer might differ from person to person. I do know you won’t receive a financial aid offer right away if some of the forms are missing. But they will probably tell you at a later date about the amount of aid you can receive once they see all of your info.
