^^ Claiming a 75% acceptance rate for IB in no way implies a rate for AP students … I doubt the 75% number is correct, but that’s as strong a statement as I can make without more data …

Meanwhile, 10.5 hours to go …

Following the live blogging @ Hopkins Interactive. Getting me anxious. I’m going to sleep now so I’m hoping for some good news when I wake up tomorrow!

In 2002, the self-reported admission rate for IB students at Hopkins was 66.3% (this means students told the survey themselves whether or not they were accepted). Note that this was 2002 and at the time Johns Hopkins’ total acceptance rate 35%, which is quite high compared to this year’s estimated < 20% acceptance rate. I’m fairly certain there were much fewer IB students at the time and even then those numbers are not official, but merely conducted by IB.

Could you guys tell me the exact time they release the results?

Peace,

there is no exact time… they’ll come out in waves

@mathlvr

They’ll start sending emails around 7:00pm est, but they’ll be sent in batches, so you won’t really know until you get the email.

No they don’t have any exact time, but they start around 7pm eastern time. As indicated in Johns HOpkins Insider,
the whole sending-email process may last 3 hours!!

Cross post from the other thread:
I’m a junior and took a tour today. The apps will (start to?) go out at 7PM EST and they have a ~19% admit rate this year, supposedly.

I’m getting home from the library at 8, so I will first check then. I don’t see a point in refreshing my e-mail after 7 ;)

Just admitted!

:]

will i be getting an email if i sent everything in but i didn’t send in that international certificate of finance form (something like that)? i assume that’s considered an “incomplete application” so should i be expecting a mail anyway? it’ll probably be a rejection i think

Thank you JHU for admitting the majority of your first batches…-_-;

well another rejection for me

dawncoming// Oh I do hope you receive it the soonest, pal.
