Official June 2010 SAT Subject Test Results Thread

I’m confused about what you’re trying to say. I know that 800 on Math is 89th percentile, but it’s not like you can score 9001 on the SAT tests. First sentence you say that I should not retake “just because” I am in the 75th percentile. But your post implies that I didn’t do so well and should retake.

It seems liked you wanted to retake Chem just because your score was in the 75th percentile, so I was just suggesting that you don’t factor in the percentiles in making your decision to retake. I apologize if I implied that you didn’t do so well, that wasn’t my intent. Personally, I would be happy with that score. That said, depending on which colleges you’re applying to, it might be worth it to retake if you feel that you can get an 800 on your next attempt.

For the SAT Subject Subject tests, I have the impression that colleges care more about the percentiles than the actual score itself. The selective colleges I’m applying to are Cornell, Columbia, Berkeley, and UCLA. Because of my low GPA, I believe I need the highest scores I can get.

Most likely I’ll be retaking Chem, but how about History? Should I aim for 95+ percentile?

800 in bio! im excited cuz i got a lot wrong, but i guess the curve was easier.

Chem: 700 (expecting higher, but I guess having an erratic teacher doesn’t help)
World History: 530 (expected, considering I didn’t study and our WH program is junk)

Chem: 780 (ehh whatever)
US History: 800
Math 2: 800

congrats to everyone :)

Literature: 750
World History: 800

I’m very pleased with these scores and they’re EXACTLY what I predicted on June 5th.

World History 610

Seeing as I thought I did way worse, I am happy. Just hoping I can do better on the USH test I plan on taking next year.

US history: 770
and
Math lvl 1: 710

My question is, do colleges even care about math 1. Was it a waste to take it? and is a 710 even a good score for it? I’m happy with my US history score but for colleges that require 2 subject tests will I be able to use these 2 scores or should I just take math 2 next time?

^Most colleges would prefer to see Math II. I would just take Math II next time, if you’ve covered all the material that will appear on the exam. It also has a more lenient curve than Math I.

800 SAT Math II

Yes! I am simply overjoyed. This is my first subject test, and I took it as a freshman!

ugh!! so angry

660 chem
630 bio

should i retake these? or just do math 2 and physics for next year?

730 math 1
700 lit
little prep,
should i take either again or take diff one(s) in the fall for top 30 or so schools?

Lit. Wow. Won’t even post the score, but it doesn’t start with a 7. Or an 8.

@ChemE14: It’s okay. I got a 520. Your score isn’t that bad.

Where are you all seeing the percentiles from on the Collegeboard site for the June 5 subject tests?

800 Chemistry
800 Math II
750 Physics

I did not study at all except until a week before the test. For physics, i basically self-studied and didnt take any advanced classes in physics. I wish you were allowed to take four tests in one sitting; would have taken ush.

690 chem
710 world
790 math ii (second time)

eh…my chem score is annoying

Ugh hate you all…
USH 720
Math II 740

Math I - 650
World History - Didn’t Study, did terrible, my AP World Teacher was garbage. Retaking in october.
