Can someone assure me there were 4 b’s in the last passage? Also, what were the answer choices for first question of the tattoo passage? I know two answer choices were she wanted to sing or learn about the Paquiao (sp?) people. For the canal passage, what were the choices for the one with the ships being heavily used and miss/app.

We have a lot more answers to the NY passage. Jefferson thought it would be impossible, it inspired other huge projects…

Yeah I took plus writing

^^ Oh,hmm, maybe I didn’t pay as much attention as I thought it did…

is one of the questions we’re missing from the dictionary passage something like " who was the first person to use the word dictionary " i don’t remember the answer though.

Ok. I would love some advice. I took the ACT yesterday and the reading section was the most difficult for me. (Taken ACT once before and reading was a 23.) I got through the first two passages in about 30 minutes and spent my last five working on a couple of easy questions from other passages. I am a very, very slow reader. If it helps, I had to read the tattoo passage about three times before I was able to comprehend it very well… I thought the Grandma was the tattoo lady at first. And the passage about dictionaries that I spent a few minutes on, I was totally lost!Anyways, I am slow at reading and comprehension! I don’t think I improved any… Just hoping I didn’t go down in reading. (Good at English surprising, scoring a 34 the first time.) Does anyone have suggestions for me because I will definitely have to take it again in September?! Any specific suggestions for me, based on how I felt about this passage. The only questions I’m good at are the most straightforward ones! Even those I have to look back and find specifics. It is helps, for the first two passages, I read the passage as thoroughly as I could (Tattoo one 3 times!) and then attempted questions, which I still have to look back at, as I don’t retain what I’m reading very well… I have a math brain! Thanks so much to anyone who helps me out!

Anyone think -1 could still be a 36 for this reading section?

You’re missing the geographic differences answer for NY. Also the girls emotional response after hearing her Grandma’s story.

I think there was also a question that asked the downside to taking on the project. I put that it influenced us to take more risks with different projects, but is that the same as #8 for new york?

@Ohio were those questions right after another?

I’m not sure because I don’t do them in order. But I think the question I’m talking about was toward the end of the group of questions. Do you remember this question?

can anyone explain what the soothing sun question was…

what would a -4/-5 on reading be?

I certainly do. It was the last question. That’s what I put, and it was the only thing that made sense because the other choices talked about things outside the United States as in Europe, or it was irrelevant.

@set1012 The question was something along the lines of “how did the narrator’s grandma feel when the sun hit her skin” The answer was pleasure/pleasing on the test.

ok…what would a -3/-4 be?

@future Do you remember the first question on the test where it asked something about whether she wanted to learn about the Paquiao (sp?) people or sing? I never could get a clear answer for that one from anyone as well as how many b’s were in the last passage. I know for sure there was one. @set around a 34

I don’t know how many bs were in the last passage, I don’t pay attention to that stuff. I think the question you’re talking about is “why did the grandma always go to the beach?” I’m pretty sure I answered something about singing…which I’m pretty sure is wrong. I don’t remember the other answer choices though.
