****OFFICIAL JUNE 2014 SAT BIO E/M THREAD****

what did you guy put for the one with the root (diagram) in the begginning of the test? like what structure absorbs and stuff?

root hair absorbs stuff
the tissue surrounding is the cortex
Meristem has highest mitosis

r u sure the tissue is cortex? i put epidermis

i put epidermis too but I think it’s cortex now after thinking about it butw idk

Isn’t the epidermis modified in the roots for absorbtion I thinks it’s epidermis

Root hairs increase absorbtion

i hope i’m wrong then because i put epidermis down :p

What about the human vs. algae? I said that the human can regulate temp but algae can’t

wait so is it epidermis or cortex?

Cortex

what was the one for the difference between alveoi and the villi of the small intestine? I put it was the epithiel cells

Both villi and alveoli have epithelial cells/tissues… Villi secrete enzymes in large quantities, but not alveoli… hence its the enzymes one !!

How do you think the curve was? also is there another google doc somewhere?

@truthandmercy for the algae vs human, i put that they were both in different domains

first of all its epidermis not cortex and for the algae vs human I said that human can regulate temp and stuff. im pretty sure those are right

to those who took Bio M, what was the answer to the restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLPs) ???

eh…this test was okay

Function of epidermis is protection

ya but the question was talking bout vascular tissue

For
