****OFFICIAL JUNE 2014 SAT MATH II THREAD****

for the 4(3)^(-2x) + 7(3x)^(-2x) = 0

-6
6 omitted
Can that be a 750
(that’s my worst case scenario)

I kind of understand what you’re saying, but I literally just cut an apple (Don’t have oranges right now, sorry) and I ended up with a completely different sized circle.

@vivalamelanie i remember getting 1, but I somehow think its 0 now… I will double check…

I remember getting one, as well.

How can you know that that’s your worst case scenario?

And -6 might even be an 800.

That test was hell. I felt like I knew the math but the questions were taking it to another level! Like Jeez! Mutual feelings anyone?

After I took it I was confident but now…

That curve better be high.

Lol yes I hope it’s MIGHTY GENEROUS

Took me a while to understand, for those who still dont get it, dont think the two points must be the diameter of the great circle

-6 as in six wrong, and six omitted

I know it’s my worst, cause I was confident on the rest…

Being confident doesn’t mean you’ll get that score…

And, I don’t think that’ll be a 750, unless, as we’re all hoping, the curve is SUPER HIGH.

Ah crap. Well I got the great circle one wrong. How did I not get that?

And you could have made yourself ten times clearer just by stating that the circle’s center was in the same spot as the sphere’s center.

What the heck… I don’t want to think anymore.

Being confident does mean I got them right. That’s what confidence is. I’m not saying I got the other 6 wrong, those are just the ones I wasn’t 100% on

No, it doesn’t. You can be confident that you did well and end up bombing the whole thing because you didn’t catch one little itty bitty part that blew up the whole problem. And that can happen multiple times. I was confident on that great circle problem until now, not so much anymore.

@Bassguitar XD i said earlier, i tend to over complicate things when i explain stuff… my analogies are generally horrible too :[

I left one omitted and got the great circle question wrong, I put 0. My feeling right now, is 4 more wrong on top of that. Am i still in the 800 ballpark.

Yeah, in the range, if you’re lucky.

EDIT: If we’re all lucky ;)

I’m 100% sure I didn’t get more than 6 wrong.
I was unsure on 3 (besides what I omitted), and I am doubling that.

Every past test I’ve taken, I do not get more wrong than what I’m sure of
