Dude. am I dead or what?

cr- 740
m- 710
w- 670 (???????)

I am so mad. I swear the timing was weird. Now I have to retake. I guess you have to expect at least a 100 point decrease from practice tests huh?

Did this test have a bad CR curve or something? cause I thought it was really easy. Does it look bad to colleges if your CR score decreased 40 points the second time around even though your math score increased 130 points and your writing score increased 40 points?

I don't think there was a bad CR curve. What I do think was that a lot of the questions discussed on this thread (ex. Chinese mother's gift/reason why author didn't ask about past) went the other way, against the general consensus

I believe bschenkel argued for the career answer, while most other people thought it was because the mother's attitude turned her interest off...and bschenkel got a 2400 lol. That's my only explanation - questions that went the other way.

real scores:
cr: 680 (-20 from predicted)
math: 660 (-40 from predicted)
writing: 8 essay, 640 (-40 from predicted)

so 100 points lower than i thought.

CR- 730 (hate cr so im pretty happy!)
M-780 (dammit im never gonna get that 800)
WR-750
-2260 overall

is that good enough for ivy league or should i retake ? seeing all of u with ur 2400s really makes me sad. (congratulations to u guys tho)

a 50 pt spread aint bad...if it were 100 like me I woulda recommended re-taking as I did (and I had a 2270)

yeeeah!

CR - 800
M - 800
W - 790
Essay: 12

First time taking the SAT. Was totally surprised, I was thinking around 1900's LOL.

Wow, holy crap!

Congrats gserra! First time, too!

I think I've only gotten 800 in math on one practice test and the PSAT. Though this time I got two wrong AHHH!!!

i thought most people went with the career choice... i did, and i missed alot more than i thought i did

i thought i mised 3, but i ended up with a 730

im sick of reading "i got a 740 on math, im sooo *ed!" and stuff along that line.
i got a 520 on math, now who is the one that's *ed?

if you really think 730 on any section is "bad", im sorry, i just dont agree.

people are always gonna have different standards CUH

werunthis, different people have different standards for what is considered good or bad. for all these CC kids, the fact that most of the kids around them hold the same standards that they do account for their willingness to complain about even a 790.

look i'm sure if one of these kids was your friend from school and he knew u didnt do so hot he wouldnt be shoving this "790...cry" crap down your throat all day. Online, it prolly makes you feel bad, so just ignore it or don't read it. What these kids say is only what they feel according to the standards that they hold themselves to.

Just a pt tutor for a bit of spending money. lol, not exactly competition even if you were in california.

If people want to complain about a 790, then let them! I'm tired of all of these "I got an 800, should I retake" satire threads and posts!

Here are my scores: mar/june

math: 730/800
CR:800/770
Writing:680(8 essay)/760(10 essay)

total: 2190/2330
superscore: 2360

Lol, here's to my Dad who told me it would be a waste of money to take it. I had to pay for the June test myself. Perseverance wins!

This is the second time i took the SAT II and i still suck at it

680 MATH
410 Writing
450 CR

I don't know what i am doing wrong, i took so many SAT practice books that i could find and yet my score is not what i want it to be, especially the math I don't think it is possible for to get into a college i want to go to if i keep this up.

Should i retake it for the third time or just crossover to ACT?

SATmaster, how did you argue for the rescore? what was your basis?

do u actually need a reason to have your test rescored, or is it that you just have to pay more money?

And... is there actually a chance that if it was rescored that the score would go up (like greater then a .000001% chance)?... because I thought I only got 1 question wrong in the math, but I ended up getting a 740 :(

I made bets with people on my SAT score! AND I LOST!!!!

I got a 2100, but 2140 if I superscore.

R 690
M 760
W 650/8 <-- last time, my score was: 700/11

I'm really jealous because there are people out there who don't care and are mediocre in school and are just NATURALLY GIFTED!!! GELAHLadkfjglakjdf.

^Agree....
