**OFFICIAL June 2nd SAT SCORES Thread!**

CR: 600-->690
M: 690-->780
W: 620-->690 (66MC 10 Essay)
Total: 1910-->2160

I really need to work on writing...What is the best way to raise your writing MC score? I have all summer to practice, so hopefully I can find some good advice :( Haha. Critical reading just sucks.

HS_2012, I think that's right. Wouldn't make sense if it was more or less than that.

inconnu, you should look at the "how do you get a 800 on writing" thread. I found it pretty helpful...

I know I don't really count, but I got a 2400. (This is definitely the last time, however, that I will take the SAT with only three hours of sleep!)

1st: 2390 (790 W)
2nd: 2370 (770 CR)

Guess I should not have retaken the 2390. Well, this time was just for my students to show that I could get a 2400. Guess I was a little short again. Probably should have slept more the night before instead of playing warcraft.

lol fastMEd, nice job

fastmed,

Are you an SAT tutor as well? It's a good thing you're out in CA right now, because I would otherwise have to hunt you down and crush you. :wink:

I can definitely relate to the no sleep thing. It wasn't Warcraft for me, but I still should not have been up until 2:30 am.

God Awful.

wtf

CR- 700 (expected)
MA- 720 (omg so sad)
W- 710 (GAH! Essay raped me; got 77/80 MC but 7/12 essay)

CR: 660
M: 740
W: 600 Essay 10

I hate you MC writing!!!!!!!!!

Looks like I'm going to have to study for a retake....Which sucks cause I needed this summer to study for the subject tests

lol i am SO thankful that somehow an 80 raw + 9 essay still evens out to an 800 in writing... that is so counterintuitive, and definitely a little unfair but it worked out in my favor so...

lol rainalai, you and i got the exact same score

I already had a 740 CR coming in, so I was looking to boost my math up from a 610 and my writing up from a 720 (I made a bubbling error on the March SAT)

June results:
650 CR
680 M
800 W (10 Essay, 80 MC)
--- 2130
.........
so my top-score composite is
CR: 740 (March)
M: 680 (June)
W: 800 (June)
--- 2220

I'm pretty happy with that.

CR: 770
Math: 780
Writing:640

Two Questions
1. I know this kinda paranoid but... The first time I took the SAT I got a 760 in writing, and this time i went down 120 points. Does that look bad.

When one says their "SAT" # are the saying their best test or there superscore? ( Not directed at previous posts in this forum, but just in general).

This was my second (and probably last) time taking it and I improved in everything so my scores will be:

CR- 660
M- 680
W- 710 (mc-70, essay-9)
Total- 2050

So I guess I'm okay with that :)

PERFECT SCORE! YAY! lol Okay so I got a 2380 this time because my math went down but I got an 800 on math last time so colleges will see a 2400! yay :)

Prepster, how did you study for your CR?

I am very disappointed about my CR score. I thought I did pretty well. I increase 150 point overall compare to my Jan score. Here is my June score.

CR - 660
Writing - 710
Math - 740

Is this score good enough for UVA or UNC- Chapel Hill ? I am thinking to tetake it.

^^ that score is good enough for anywhere...

I want to appy those top school - Johns Hopkins and Brown U. I think my score is kind of borderline. Hopefully, I can break the 2200 next time. I really need help on the CR section. I am still wondering why I only got 660. I thought the June CR was much easier than the Jan one. I guess not !!! The questions must be very tricky.

640 CR
570 Math
790 Writing, 12 essay, 74 mc (really surprised!! on practice tests I usually got low 600s)

770 CR
800 Math
800 Writing (80 mc, 10 essay)

improved on everything from january!
2290 -> 2370

k...
The first time I took, in May
I got
Math: 700
CR: 640
Writing: 700

This time around, I got
Math: 780
CR: 680 (Damn the experimental- had it not been a critical reading, I might have done better, but then again I'm just excusing myself lol)
Writing: 710
Total: 2170

Im guessing this IS significant raise, isnt it?
Still not satisfied with that damned Critical Reading!!!!!
I guess I'll take it again to break the 700 barrier lol

I got a 780 on math on March SAT. I had them rescored, and got an 800.
