Official June 4th SAT - Math Experimental

im trying to figure out which section was math experimental. obviously, the gridins (section 6 i believe) and the 20 mins section (section 9) are not experimental.

there were 2 math multiple choice sections (possibly sections 3/4 or 3/5 i cant remember). does anyone think they know whether experimental was the first mult choice math or the second one?

im hoping it was the second one because i thought this was a lot harder than usual.. post what you think!

No one has any idea. There seem to be many, many, MANY versions of the test this time around. (They seem to have mixed and matched and created many, many, many, combinations of tests from a set amount of verbal/math sections)

*There also seem to have been more than one Grid-In version. For example, I had a question about a 7x5 quilt of patchwork with Yellow/Green/Red/Blue patches, and it asked what is the number of Green patches (I put 12, pretty sure it's right) ... and yet no one else has posted any of these grid ins.

Also, another grid in on my version that some people seem to have posted, is the "3 boxes", there are 3 boxes stacked on top one another, and it asks for the Surface area.

its either 3-4

this is for the writing on the sat with math as experimental

does anyone rememember the no errors for the writing? how many were there...i think I remember only two...which doesnt seem like enuff

by "no errors" i mean the "no errors" in the sentences that have four phrases underlined and a "no error" on the side (not the choice A's for the sentnce correction questions).

lojt - did you have 2 grid in sections? because maybe there are different forms of math experimental..

No, only one grid in. Which is the odd part.

hmm i am so confused lol

i just hope the math section i freaked out during was experimental!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol, what an odd test. I had writing experimental, but I had the following two questions too:

*There also seem to have been more than one Grid-In version. For example, I had a question about a 7x5 quilt of patchwork with Yellow/Green/Red/Blue patches, and it asked what is the number of Green patches (I put 12, pretty sure it's right) ... and yet no one else has posted any of these grid ins.

Also, another grid in on my version that some people seem to have posted, is the "3 boxes", there are 3 boxes stacked on top one another, and it asks for the Surface area.

Anyways, I also got 12 for the number of Green squares . . . 100% sure

I got 74 on the surface area one.

hey guys I had math experimental but my order was
1. essay
2. 25 min. math (I THINK THIS WAS EXPERIMENTAL) it had a triangle inscribed in a circle
3. reading
4. 25 min. math
5. writing
6. math* (grid in)
7. reading*
8. math (20 min)
9. reading
10. writing

could have been interchanged...not sure

but yeah I had passages about animal sounds, narrator talking about his proud african dad, shopping short passages, and a dual passage about a queen (this was in section 3)

the triangle shoud not be exp i had that too.

merudh123 - i didnt have ANY of those reading passages...

yay! i had that format, merudh123

Anyone have this format?

Astronaut communication
Traveling alone vs. traveling with companion
Chinese mother and her daughter, and the tension between them
Study on human behavior (nature vs. nurture)

LoJT, I had all of those passages

OK we seem to have a messed up version, cuz so many people dont have ours.

Did you get a math question like..
x^2 + y^2 = u^2
x^2 - y^2 = r^2
what is u^4 + r^4 in terms of x and y?

lol, I don't think I had that question

these versions seems like mixes and matches of each other. I had writing experimental, but I have questions that people with math experimental had.

whoa, wait guys on this cube one

the cross section did not make a cube, it made a triangular prism.

im so confused, i think i screwed math up big time on this one..

I think I had the same test as galgrl24.

I didn't have that math that LOTJ mentioned.

tm200 what did u put for the cube one?

what was the answer to that writing question that was like ....in conformity to/of ....blah blah blah.?
