Official June SAT CRITICAL READING: Yellowstone Park

what was 8: suspended...suffered?

can anyone remember the answer choices for the post it note question???

Riddle and Fable is Enigmatic and edifying.
riddle is enigmatic, and fable is, by definition, "moral lesson." edifying is "uplifting so as to encourage intellectual or moral improvement." it matches.

the chinese guy never said that his dad was a fabrication. in fact, he was arguing against it. that he can't understand his dad's biography

ballet - i put instruction, i don't think i even looked at movement. hmmm

the final two choices were slightly absurd narrative and anecdote of irresponsibility.

Question :
SC, #17 parity

what was the question for that??

iborrwedthisis: it had had nothing to do with movement lol when i first saw the answer choices i knew instructions were correct.

You must not have considered it in context - the story said like "We had to do these steps over and over". You can't DO instructions. Ballet is all about movements put together into dance routines.

Instructions are to be followed, not to be done.

well the sentence it was used in seemed like instructions for the kids to follow

the parity sentence completion was something about a dad treating his two daughters equally.

Puzzlement-fabricating

It was definitely movements. I am absolutely 100% certain.

^ Second that.

can anyone post the full question to the movements / instructions question

Yeah I was stuck between movements and instructions but I put instructions...hope I'm right...

it's definitely movements.

yeah, idk where to post. so i also posted this in the june sat critical reading thread.

alright, more questions:

-a question to the ballet passage. one of the answers was the ballet studio to the natural world. OR. the world of ballet to the world the narrator was familiar with. i put the latter.
-the flora and fauna question in the yellowstone park passage? i forgot what i put, i think something relating to the scientists. idk.
-chinese man passage. the question referring to the line about the meaning of the words and the context of the words? i think i put something about written language.

btw, what was the short passage about that went with the long passage about the chinese man? it wasn't the rock/african title or alternative medicine one. what am i missing?

thanks guys.

steps= movement

edifying, not fabrication cuz...fabrication= construction, falsehood (none of its def. fit)

vivisaurus,
1. world of ballet. vs narrator's world (what you put)
2. I put scientists don't really understand the way the ecosystem is all connected or something [not sure]
3. I put the one with .. understanding a part of something vs. broader understanding

The scientists did understand, ppl were just not giving them any attention. I forgot the actual answer, but i think i got it right =)

I agree with sushi on 1 and 3 though
