icedkiwis, the question asked for POST-WWII. So the answer in the list stands.

Anybody remember the exact answer for 71 about the American women during WWI? The answer in the list is ambigous. I said they refused to take breaks... not sure though.

cAN WE ADDRESS # 37. I'm really unsure if I was right

i think gadsden purchase is definitely the right answer. even though i'm sure it increased tension a tiny bit, the other choices were much better. the fugitive slave act exposed northerners to slavery (whereas before it was something they only read about), and it was part of the compromise of 1850.

Senor, that's what I put for 37, and for the very same reasons you did. If anybody can remember the answers to the other ones or bring to us a different answer, we can talk about it better :O

It definately isn't breaks... Its about the patriotism...the dirty, hardworking woman w/ a flag in the background. Also, the wording talked about gov't propaganda which helped a lot (like rosie the riveter) if u know about war posters from that era

Other answers included:

More anti-slavery in south (not true)
Wanted to compete w/ Southern production of cotton (Not true)
Wanted blacks to come North to be laborers ( not true)

That leaves the answer I put on the list and another that I cant remember. Someone help us out plz.

So you said women could do just as good of a job as men in labor? I was going to put that, but if you look at the picture, she is holding a sandwidch in one hand and looking away from it.

Yes, they did have same religion. Read the revised list and nots in quotes.
