Official Lehigh Class of 2021 RD

So $60+k per year at Lehigh (no merit or financial need) or $19k per year at University of South Carolina Honors College (in state tuition granted and merit aid added on). What would you choose?

@wptugs What are you planning to studying?

@much2learn … chemistry // pre-med tracking

@wptugs

I would look at the placement rates of premeds from both schools, and the level of guidance provided along the way.

Lehigh is a terrific school, but it is a significant monetary difference. If the results are close, I would probably choose the less expensive option, unless you are fortunate enough that the cost difference does not matter to your family.

Just committed to Lehigh. Good luck to all.

I committed to Lehigh too! I’m so excited for the fall!

Although I will not be attending Lehigh next fall, I hope that my stats can be of some assistance to next year’s applicants.
Accepted to the College of Arts and Sciences but denied from IDEAS with a 31 ACT, 4.25 GPA, 9 APs. 3 sports, ECs include Science Olympiad, key club, mentor at an elementary school learn to code club. Lehigh’s essay prompts can be a little challenging to answer but try your best, don’t just blow them off, as I think Lehigh must heavily take essays into consideration, just based off of how unique and (presumably) how much time goes into creating them.
Other acceptances: Ohio State, Clemson, Michigan, Miami (OH), Maryland, Virginia Tech, Virginia
Rejections: Duke
