Official Math Level 2 Thread

Does anyone remember the answer to question that gave a mean, then told you to subtract two numbers from the mean and find the new sum?

Also, there was a question that said F(x)= (x,0,z) g(x)= (x.y,z) and then gave you something like f(g(something)). Anyone remember?

yea i just guessed at that one

i put (o,z,0)

you put the letter "o" for the answer?...how was that possible?...lol

ya twas (0,Z,0)

@Dag89, you just multiplied the mean x 12 then subtracted 14 and 10 and divided that by 10 so ((mean x 12)-24)/10

EDIT: I don't remember the answer :(

Mean was 21.6 I think

I think it got it right then. Sadly, I think I will end up with the same 750 as before...

Wow, from what I can tell we have posted about all but 15 questions from the test. LOL

That test was quite a bit more time consuming than difficult -- whereas I finished the Math I in about 25 mins, it took me the whole hour on Math II and I barely had time to check my work.

I left four blank and probably missed like 3, which according to the Sparknotes generalized grade curve guidelines, leaves me with an 800. I really, really hope that they're using a generous curve...

"whereas I finished the Math I in about 25 mins"

WHAT!! HAX!!

troll troll trolll

16 more days until the results??

god the wait is brutal...i want an 800 so bad (first sat subject test btw :-) )

haha same daman

Hey, what prep books would you recommend for Math IIC?

When do the scores come out?

blubberxyz: I recommend Barron's. However, do not trust the scores you get on Barron's practice tests. In addition, I recommend Princeton Review's prep guide, as well as Kaplan's prep guide. Of course, you have to try out the official Math Subject Test Prep Guide.
