Official November 4 SAT Math Thread

Hey

I took the test but ran out of time with the essay. I wrote a decent introduction... and two more paragraphs explaining two examples in favour of my standing. But I could not finish it up with a conclusion... not even a single line. My previous score was 8. Do u guys I will get atleast 8? Do they penalise for not writing conclusions?

I'm pretty stressed. So I'd like ur comments... thanks!

The average one was 6

y
-- = 16
x

y + 12
------- = 18
x

then solve the system of equations

Oh yeah, MustangQb03, I remember the systems of equations one. I've been asking and trying to find out the answer myself, on this thread, but you just reminded me that I solved for y, and it turned out to be a line with slope of like -1/2.

So I think yes, more than 3.

what do you guys think -1 on grid-in will be?
gahhhhhhhhh i thought for sure i was getting 800, shux.

i left one blank too...i think you can still score an 800 if you dont miss anything else

(a^3/b)^(1/2)
is the correct answer sorry about the previous one

mustang qb thats such a good way of solving it

i had to do guess and check forlike 5 mins

hey does anyone remember the question which i had in my section right after the essay, it was like the last math question before the grid-ins, like number 8 or something. it asked about the 1 to 4 ratio of the area of a shaded part of a circle to the unshaded area. if anyone remembers what they put that would be awesome

You wanted to choose the graph with the 1/5 shaded. I forget what choice that was (I want to say A but I'm not sure)

I just did the dumb guy answer there and chose the one with 1/4 shaded. Seems right to me.

Damn. Yeah it's the one with 1/5 shaded. I'm an idiot. DAMN IT 2 WRONG AND BOTH WERE RETARDED MISTAKES.

November 4 2006 test problems included

so was the section with the problem with r,s,t and the system of equations experimental? I had 4 sections, and this one seemed to be the hardest. It also had one with b,c,n, and x or something.

yeah the first math section didn't really click as well as the others. are you talkin about the r^2st and rst question? I think the answer was like 40 or 10...

so was that one experimental?

my experimental was sec. 3 (Math)...which really ****ed me off bec. I did great on that section!

mathproblems: that's not the three circles problem, nor is that the solution!
