Official November 4 SAT Math Thread

Im gonna take the test in a few hours, might as well make the thread :)

haha, jumping the gun a bit, are we?

took it a few hours ago. man I have a headache

wait. maybe I shouldnt post anything yet

that was some easy ****.

It was decent. Not too easy. Not too hard even though think i screwed it up a little. I hope i can still pull off a 800. Fingers crossed

wayyy easier than I expected.

test was cake

This Nov SAT Math+CR is really easy.

Not to get off topic but the CR was several times easier than the Oct one...***.

i thought the cr was harder than the oct test. but overall, this test was so much easier.

So it was ez? What about writing and the essay topic? ez?

wait, we're kidding right?

i still have 4 more hours til the test starts.

They might be in different timezones, I am not sure if they start the test at different times because of that.

hardest problem?

Answer: The rope/knots question.

the math was easy. The rope/knots one was easy for me.
There were 4 math sections, so which one do you guys think didnt count? I had two math sections in a row (1rst and 2nd sections) so its one of them i think.

I omitted two on the 2nd last math section which really sux. It was the one where you had to find the value of k for that parabola and your given the vertex and one x-intercept. It looked so easyand I still think its easy, but for some reason I couldnt get it! And the last question on that section I didnt get to. On the other i should be fine. I think I aced the last section, but not saying anything for sure yet lol.
Oh and one last thing: On the same section (one where i omitted two) then 2nd last question which concerned finding the gradient of PR or sth like that. there was like a triangle on the first quadrant of coordinate plane and it gave you the gradient of two of those lines and the third one was PR and you had to find its gradient. I got 5/4, plz tell me this is right?
thx.

answer to rope/knot question was: 19n - 13 (which was A i think)

Yes.

n knots and n-1 inline spaces so
6n+13(n-1) = 19n-13

I think 5/4 is the right answer for the slope question and the answer for the question with vertex (3,-4) is 7.

Did I get something wrong ?

i didn't have a rope/knot section. i had three math sections and the second to last question on the last math section was something like:

between 35 and 300, how many numbers can be written as 5x + 1 where x is an integer.

anybody else have that?

yeah.. rope/knot is a question in the experimental section.. cause my experimental was CR. alsoo.. avant-garde.. i got choice A - 59 for the 5x+1 question

fragrl - what was the experimental CR section? we might have had the same test.
