Official November 4th U.S History SAT II thread

ummm...how did everyone do?

What did you guys put for the painter question...near the end. I dont remember much but it was like which painter has a theme of isolation or something like that.

the answer was edward hopper.

can anyone post a link to a score conversion table or something...thanks.

Are we allowed to talk about the questions here?

technically no...but everyone does it

amcantu: can you explain why or is it just like a either you know or you dont question.

Also, what about the one with like "the number one domestic problem during gerald ford administration"

is it inflation or unemployment...i put inflation but didnt that cause unemployment? it could be both imo

i put inflation... i was torn between both...."Ford's administration attempted to cope with the high rate of inflation" .... according to http://www.britannica.com/eb/article-9034843/Gerald-R-Ford ... much more reliable than wikipedia

another question...the map one where it shows the percentages of whites/blacks in the south...what did u guys put?

I put "unemployment", but now that I think of it, it should've probably been inflation...since Ford had the "Whip Inflation Now" speech....

And I put "strongly secessit states have a large percentage of slaves"....is that right?

How does everyone feel about today's test? I thought certain questions were quite obscure.

i put the secession states that the most blacks.... like SC.... where the crap did native americans crom from?!?!?!?!!

FFF: The came from the natural land bridge between Siberia and N.A.

yay, i got the greensboro question right !!!! i really really want a 700.... :( (lol, i just looked up wiki)

What do you think the curve is going to be like this time?

i put that slavery was important in the deep south...iono. on the practice test i seem to get alot of map/table/graphs questions wrong

hmmm... i got a 670 (after prep) on sparknotes.... so hopefully sparknotes was harder and i get 700.... i got a 3 on ap though... then agian i didnt know anything in the 20th cent... our class didnt get that far... but for the SAT2 i read a little day by day....BLAH!

The Americans won the Revolutionary War mostly due to French aid, right?

the four presidents (cartoon)....vietnam?
cities (graph)...most were increasing? (three of them werent)
which caused the most dissent? tet offensive?
fair deal.....social and economic reform?

Yup. What were the Anasazi Indians? Sedentary mound-dwellers or sedentary people in agriculture?

i put agriculture....blah... the southwest reminds me of corn...hmmmm

wiki on Anasazi: "The Ancient Pueblo culture is perhaps best-known for the jacal, adobe and sandstone dwellings built along cliff walls, particularly during the Pueblo II and Pueblo III eras. The best-preserved examples of those dwellings are in parks such as Chaco Culture National Historical Park, Mesa Verde National Park, Hovenweep National Monument, Bandelier National Monument, and Canyon de Chelly National Monument. These villages, called pueblos by Mexican settlers, were often only accessible by rope or through rock climbing."

Wait.....was that rural vs. urban chart an EXCEPT question? (cuz if it was, then I definitely misread it....)
