Official November SAT 2012 Thread

Journey question was arduous because the guy had a lot of difficulty with his writing career. Fortuitous means happening by luck, and he was anything but lucky.

@smeeth yea, i got arduous too

For the last question on Bach, did anyone say that the teacher helped him bring things together?

x,y,z,w all less than 7, and the mean of two numbers were 4
did you guys get II and III as the answer??

@realwaffle yes, something about how things fit together

wasnt it imprudent since he was unexperienced with writing

@realwaffle yes, because she didnt teach him to read…the other guy did… so i think that is the best choice

@888sat888 ya, II and III, since the biggest numbers for x and y would’ve been 3 and 4 with an average of 3.5.

I actually put “imprudent” for the journey question since he didn’t have anyone to guide him. I didn’t think the journey was hard for him or did he get lucky.

was the math section with the parabola function graph, something like f(4)=14 experimental? another question was which of the combinations is always even? the answers for that were like pq, rs, r^2p, p^2s. another one of the questions which i think was 17 or 18 had the word period in the question

@babyOWL but he said he tried and failed a lot which means he kept on working at it over and over

The sum of the first 101 terms in the sequence -2,3,-4,5 … was -52 right?

he didnt really attempt at success… he kind of just wrote different things until he reached a successful topic because he wasnt experienced

does anybody remember the first question on the glacier CR passage? one of the answer choices involved volcanic activity and dinosaurs

wouldnt it be fortuiotuos because he was like groping around in the dark or somthing so his journey was lucky because he wasnt really going in any path?

what was the experimental for the math section??? was it with a/b thing?

@Bmfbham I remember that one, it was something to do with the best scenario for the “evidence”… I think I put something in the climate or something that directly correlated to the migration of people. I’m not sure

im pretty sure the experimental was one of the writing sections because i had 2 long writing sections and 1 short one

@Bmfbham ahhh i remember now…it was NOT dinosaurs because the question asked how it affected “humans” so i put lowered ocean levels Atlantic crossing…

which section was the experimental reading section
