with you 700s

lol

V: 800
W: 800 (80 MC, 9 essay)
M:..........790

Pardon me while I go shoot myself

You got an 800 Wr with a 9 essay? Wow, that is a lenient curve. I hope you are joking about killing yourself for a 2390.

March:

CR- 640
W- 680, 10 essay
M- 680

June:

CR- 690
W- 770, 12 essay
M- 710

October:

CR- 730
W- 720, 12 essay
M- 740

Total Net increase from March: 240 (2000--> 2240)

Highest score in one sitting: 2190
Composite Score: 2240

Just what I needed.

just wondering are there any CCers that didn't get above 2000??? Everyone here did so well and yet they want to kill themselves -_- you all should be happy!!! and brook227 -are you kidding me? can you actually be content!

M - 700
W - 660 (the proctor spent 45 minutes explaining how to fill in bubbles - everyone I've talked to was completely brain dead for the essay lol)
CR - 740
total - 2100

Which is just what I wanted for my one and only SAT. Good enough for the Ivies? Not that it matters, because I'm applying there anyways. Canada is cool too - I would definetly go to school here. So really, this whole SAT/US of A/EA/Ivy thing is an experiment.

M-710
CR-610
WR-630 essay-8

yes its a 1950, all u ivy league bound people gasp!!!

anyone wanna tell how they thought the curve went???

omg. i dun even have my scores yet!!! is it the test centre problem or why??? i didn't cheat or nething y do they do this to us?!?! can't they just markkkkkkkkk it....omg. i am in agony. serious.

i think the curve is always bs, but thats just me , hehehe

We can't really determine the curve without knowing exaclty how many we got wrong to get a certain score, and that info is released on saturday.

Well. I had absolutely no time to study for the October test, so I wasn't even going to take it. Except I've already signed up for it way long back, and I couldn't waste money. So I reluctantly sat myself down for it.

And my score went down.
CR: 760 (which is actually an improvement from my March test.)
M: 710 (what the fux happened here.)
W: 710 67/11

Well, if I combo my CR with my March scores... I guess it's better.

Do college more often do combo scores (you know, best verbal + best math + best writing)? Or was it best all-in-one sitting? :

June: 2270
CR-750
M-740
W-780 (76/11)

October: 2370
CR-770
M-800
W-800 (78/11)

I am completely amazed. I expected my scores to go down since I already had a decent score from June. Last SAT/ACT ever!

Wow, rhs06. We have the same score breakdown, except mine is the composite. Good job.

700-W
790-M
640-CR
total: 2130 <<--- eh....i think i could do better.

How does one improve his or her CR!? I improved in math and writing, but my critical reading is STILL the SAME frustrating score.

Reading comprehension has been my weakest standardized test area, ever since the THIRD GRADE. how sad is that.

any advice for critical reading!?

I doubt this will work for you but i was getting 640-680 at TPR until i started just underlining the crap out of the passages. It somehow made me remember the passages better and it makes for easy referencing if you need to look something up. It helped me go from that 640-680 range into the 730 I got.

Thats my two cents

2160 here / 690 math / 700 CR / 770 writing yipeee

to prpltrmpt: i think the key to improving your score is practice. practice like crazy. buy a workbook dedicated to cr only and just do all the exercises, focus on the kinds of questions you get wrong, and learn from your mistakes. for writing and math there's a formulaic way to answering the questions, but with cr there is none. so it's not just something you can memorize.

2320 here. 100 point increase from March (2220) :)

The CR curve was at least 800 800 800, since I know I made at least one mistake.
