should we have an aim chatroom so we can discuss?

sarorah

for heartache, i put that it compares scientific to poetic
and i think i put conceive also

and yah i was having a blast during the math sections!!!! woooohoooooo lol

I don't know that either..does anybody have last year's qualifying scores? I think ours was like 215 (ohio)

"1) What was the answer to the question about car maintence. How like her mom pays for her insurance, so insurance is taken out so how much percent of maintence out of the whole thing. Or something like that"

Am I the only one that put 7.5% for this one? As of right now, I'm certain I have every problem right and seeing several people with 13.333% are damaging my hopes for an 80 a bit<<

So can anyone explain how you do this problem. I know I eliminated anything below 10%. I think I put E. 15%

hey ilovemath...did you get 30 for the one with 2 in the unit digit?

Dangggg, does anybody have a photographic memory and remember what was on the pie chart and the car maintenance question?

made in china:

maintenance was 10% The amount she pays (since insurance is 25%) is 75%. find the % of a %:

.10/.75 = .1333

Hopefully, it'll be good.. whats the national merit qualifying score in your state?<<<

Thank God my state's national merit qualifyinf score is like 208 or some where in the low 200s. That gives me a year to raise my score atleast by 50 points

Yes. She didn't have to pay insurance which was 25%. That left 75% for her to pay. Maintenace was 10% of the original. So 10% of the 75% she pays is 10/75=13.333

I live like down the road from WV .. I wish I lived there, but no.. I had to live in Virginia damn i know i'm gonna do bad

i put 13.333%
missed juxtapose too :(
and i put 30 for #19 before the #20 with the arc
and listen sr6622 i left 3 blank on the math so .. dont feel terribly bad
i thought it was "compare a scientific image to a poetic one" too for soo long arrggh and i changed it at the last sec .. shoulda known that extreme answers are not right
yeah i'm up for a chat room if you all wanna do that

oh yeah what about the one with the "paradigm" answer in the sentence completion .. with Venus flytraps and plants eating animals and vice versa?

and i put abated - inured (workers and the noise), is that wrong?

For the a>b>c triangle problem, I think the answer is only I since the angles could be 61 for a, 59 for b, and c would have to be 60, but C has to be less than 45.

Oooooh now I see, I took 10% of 75

....>_<

made in china:

maintenance was 10% The amount she pays (since insurance is 25%) is 75%. find the % of a %:

.10/.75 = .1333<<

Thanks. I tried to make it harder than what it really was. I was typing bs into my calculator like mad

Wait, what was the sultry one?

A lot of people were asking for the 2 math questions on the pie chart:

the first was asked for what the missing x percentage was => add up the others and subtract from 100% => I think I got 35%.

The second one had tricky wording. the answer I got was 10%/75% = 13.3333%.

flamestrike -

its I and III

C can be greater than 45 but has to be less than 60:

62>60>58

The number of posts is 230+...I wish that was my score....

Hey what do you guys think the curves are?

"juxtapose is like to combine, which was right answer

the heartache is "to compare a scientific image to a poetic one""

juxtapose does mean to combine, but I think the answer was complement, because it said side by side in the question.

If juxtapose was the right answer, I'm going to be really mad, because I knew what all the words meant!!!

yes fiddlesticks i got 30 for that.. i think

Yes, please, we need a curve discussion! How will it differ from the practice booklet scale. I know nothing of these matters and rely on smart CCers to figure it out for me.
