Saturday PSAT General Discussion

So, there's a bunch of threads about Wednesday's PSAT but not one for us Saturday people?

Wednesday's test is over and there's only a few days left until we take it, too. I hope I'm not the only one nervous!

Anyway, how do you guys feel about the upcoming PSAT? How's your prep going?

Question. Will all the questions be different in the forms of Psat? Or will those who took the one’s from Wednesday have the same test we took?

*Will take

I’m betting it will be different, or else the Wednesday guys would not be allowed to discuss their test on here.

They aren’t allowed to…

So that doesn’t make sense. Could we ask an experienced person on this??

Oh… Yikes.
If that’s the case, then I really don’t know. I’m not going to look at those discussion threads now though… The last thing I want is to have my test cancelled.

The Saturday and Wednesday versions of past PSAT exams have always had different questions. (at least the two years’ tests I’ve seen)

Oh ok thank you!

LOL. You guys are so freakin lucky. JUST WANNA SAY THAT

i have tests going back MANY years and they haven’t been the same going at least back into the 1990’s.

I was about to say that this year’s Wednesday PSAT was much easier than last year’s, but I just looked at my PSAT from last year and realized that it only seemed easier because last year I made a ton of stupid mistakes LOL.

PSAT tests are always different for different dates.

Hmm…
Does anyone know how to do paired passages for CR efficiently? Like, what are you doing/have you done? I’m getting tired of not breaking 70 on this section…

I usually just underline/briefly jot down the differences/similarities between the two passages because the questions often compare them. I must say that Wednesday’s PSAT seemed rather easy, especially the math section.

Alright, and that sounds rather encouraging. Hope the test will be just as easy for Saturday!

For the paired passages, I skim through the questions and underline the parts of the passage that are mentioned in the passage (so that when I read through it, I can pay extra attention during those parts). After that I just read through the passages and answer the questions. Works for me pretty well…

Oh and YES. I felt like that too… wasn’t sure if it was just me though because I did horribly last year… I thought the CR section was decent, and the writing section was easy overall excluding a few problems, but the math was the easiest out of all math sections I’ve ever taken. I finished the math about 10 minutes early and just kept double checking my answers afterwards. There was only one problem that gave me trouble, but once I figured it out the problem seemed really easy. :x I think I might actually have a chance at being a NMSF this year lol.

Ooh, thanks! Also, less than 24 hours…

Oh god, PSAT is tomorrow and i’ve only taken one practice test. Any suggestions for what i should be doing during these last few hours?
