Official Questbridge National College Match 2010-2011

I don’t understand. Algorithm? Are schools only supposed to have a few Questbridge scholars?

would you guys quit freaking out. whatever happens happens. at least we get to forward our apps for regular decision which takes more students.

If only I could control it… but yes, we all know that whatever will happen will happen and that now, there is nothing we can do about it.

No, that is the process that QB uses to match the scholars that the schools want with the school that is ranked highest on the students ranking list.

ahh two more days!

One Day (Maybe even a little less for some!) Good luck everybody! God Bless!

Thanks! Good luck to you too

for anyone who is applying to usc regular decision: tomorrow is the deadline for scholarship consideration. but since it’s not the deadline for regular decision, will i still be able to get financial aid since im affiliated with questbridge? do i need to forward my app tomorrow? im not sure how this works for usc…

You really should contact the school about that. I’m not sure they make exceptions for questbridge, but you are restricted from applying thanks to questbridge so that might be some grounds for appeal.

Not familiar with USC specifically, but you can apply RD to any school you’d like. You just can’t make any binding commitments or file apps under programs that provide early notification.

From your post, it sounds like this is RD, just with a priority deadline for scholarship consideration- my guess is your OK. Again, double check with the school.

If you forward your QB app to USC, it is considered on time for scholarship consideration :]

Good luck to all of you today!

@concretegirl
Are you sure?

@ Gadgor, I’m sure that USC will still consider your financial need for regular decision; if you apply to USC through Questbridge, that itself already demonstrates preparedness and socioeconomic status. I called a USC counselor and asked myself, so if you forward your Questbridge Application to USC between tomorrow and the 15th, it should be no problem!

Alright thanks a lot anika. Got a bit nervous there haha.

Hey guys, if you google “questbridge usc faq,” there is a FAQ from the USC website concerning Questbridge that addresses the merit scholarship consideration so the answer is yes, it will still be on time. :D

Does anyone know what time the results will come out? Via email right? (Eastern time)
So nervous. Hahas.

The day has arrived:) maybe about 12 hours til we know

This nervousness is unbearable. To all that don’t know yet, I read last year’s official College Match Thread; the earliest someone was notified was at noon. They will send an e-mail or even possibly call you (scariest thing, right?) by 5pm PST. Good luck everyone, wish you all the best!

good luck everyone!!!
