Official RD 2020 Thread

Just saying guys, usually colleges don’t send the admissions package before the deadline. They know students try things like this.

@ShouldBeWorking the usps thing will only detect the admission packets the admitted students get, since those are more than some minimum weight. Accepted students from WashU could see that they were receiving a package by about a day before the admissions came out, maybe even before that too.

@rhdhtai Well I’m not so sure about that. For Princeton, I know that for years they’ve been sending financial aid emails before they send the acceptance, so there’s been controversy and a light correlation about that.

@rhdhtai this exact thing happened this year. People were notified they were receiving a package from WASHU.

just received the email in GA

Your admissions packet is not marked as a package.

Ahhhh still no email

I haven’t gotten the email yet. MO. I don’t think it’s anything to stress about, let’s not worry.
Good luck to everyone! I’m sure this thread will light up around 5:00 on Wednesday.

@savvyitup, have you received the email yet? I am in Illinois, still no email

@bestone1999 @whitespace @PartyNextDoor no email for me either.

No email yet – last name P, I live in Ohio.

I don’t think it’s anything to fret about.

No email, Illinois, B last name. It might not mean anything, but it’s freaking me out

@bestone1999 no email for me. And to top it all off, my computer just broke

No email.
Last name M.
California

We’re all over here trying not to worry about an email… and now I feel bad because @savvyitup actually has something to worry about.

at least a bunch of us still don’t have emails

By any chance does anyone know how to fix a 2013 MacBook Air that refuses to turn on? I’ve tried the whole command shift power thing, shaking it, holding down the power for 10 secs… Then again, I’d go without technology for a decade if it gets me into vandy lol.

@suprstar16 I wouldn’t worry about this at all. It’s just not worth the time. Think about it - we already know what’s in the email and what time decisions are coming out, so really it’s not going to tell us anything new. I’m just glad I have CC here to keep me up to date. Because we know the colleges aren’t haha

@whitespace yeah exactly! now i’m just nervous for decisions

@suprstar16 I’ve been nervous for decisions since last August. It’s funny how that level of nervousness seems to grow exponentially as we get closer to decisions, though. You’d think it would be the opposite.
