I just submitted by Vandy RD application- woot woot! Who else out there on CC has submitted their RD app or is planning to in the near future?

Submitted, although i probably wont go if accepted cause of the social scene and expensive tuition

submitted already for rd?

and ^, whats up with vandys social scene

Plan to submit soon.

can i just ask a question here,
if you submit applications early, is there any benefit? They are not even going to review it until feb I guess seeing the sat score reports are due by 15 feb?

just wondering…

I submitted mine last week! I don’t think there’s any benefit besides getting a weight off your shoulders… I just know that if I get rejected ED from the school I applied there is nothing I’d want to do less than work on apps to other schools haha.

Definitely plan on submitting the rest of the application soon. Already submitted the supplement a while ago and had an interview. =P

And @cowking, I don’t really want to sound rude, but why would you apply to a school if you have reasons not to go even if accepted?

I mean, if you don’t like the school enough to go, why would you apply? Maybe there’s just something I’m not getting.

How long does it take for VU to send you information about an interview? I submitted my application Thanksgiving night.

I submitted my application 2 weeks ago and got an email about an interview last week. My interview is on the 3rd. I probably won’t get in, but if I do, I’d commit asap. Vanderbilt is awesome.

Son applied RD in early October. In early November he got an e-mail from the admissions officer asking him to send his ACT scores for a certain date he had listed. He had already sent everything and notified the admission officer. Right after that the admissions officer emailed back saying that they found his scores. I was surprised that they were looking at RD application that early. Maybe they don’t evaluate them but check for completion??

yeah…they check for completion and send out emails re missing items asap at every college–sometimes they have misfiled something you sent, sometimes you overlooked a required document

Good luck to all of you!

I plan to apply soon. Vandy seems like a dream school!! Wish I could’ve applied early.

Sent mine!!! I have to wait over 3 months for a reply ><

Sent everything in on October 19th. The waiting has been soooooo hard.

I wish I could’ve applied early.

sending tomorrow!!

I applied today!

Good luck to everyone! :)

Who has completed an interview already?
I received information about it back in October, but I’m nervous about completing my first interview for my top choice school. I feel like I should have a “practice” one first for a school I’m not as passionate about, haha.

Hey all! I’m applying RD from SoCal (but not U$C makes choking motion). Film Studies major…kinda odd for Vandy, but I really like the school from my research. A bit worried about the southern lifestyle type of thing, and if I’ll fit in, but Vandy is one of my top choices and I’m really excited for March to find out! :)

I did an interview and I’m extremely glad that I did. My interviewer was really friendly and nice, and didn’t ask any tough questions. It’s pretty informal. In fact, it was more of just having a conversation really. I definitely recommend an interview because it’s also a great time to ask any questions that you yourself might have.

So who here has Vandy as their top choice? Any deferrals?
