I’m actually very late in the IDOC process I think. i finished my FAFSA and CSS a while ago but just never got around to IDOC because I thought I would only do that after I received my decisions. Is there a way to see who requested for your IDOC info? My email looked like a generic request from the College Board itself so I’m hesitant to say any univerisity requested it from me. Did anyone else receive the IDOC email? And if so, from who?
I have never gotten an IDOC email. Not since the confirmation of my account. But I do have all my forms in.
Isn’t IDOC limited to US citizens only?
Annoying parent here. . .I do feel like I understand the IDOC process a bit. IDOC is a secure portal that SOME colleges use for families to submit usually tax information for financial aid purposes. Only some colleges use it (a minority). If your college requires IDOC submittal and you applied for financial aid, you would get an email from IDOC that information is requested for upload. This email will not tell you what college requested the information. You go into IDOC and submit the information they need.
Vanderbilt spares the 90% of people they will reject and says they will only go looking for that tax information on IDOC if they accept you. So, I doubt Vandy has done anything yet for RD candidates. If you are accepted, Vandy will go into IDOC. If the information they need is already there because you submitted it for another college, they will simply pull it and you will not know it. If the info. is not there that they need, they will request it and you will get an email from IDOC requesting it.
In Vanderbilt’s case, they only go into IDOC to get your docs if they have accepted you AND if they accept you they will only request info. through IDOC if the information they need has not already been loaded by you (for another college).
I am not sure if this is relevant for internationals as most of the documents colleges seek through IDOC are tax returns.
I hope this helps–I don’t believe you will get an IDOC request from Vandy until after acceptance and even then you may not get one if they have what they need. Those reporting that they got an email from IDOC–I can not say for certain but my guess is that this is for requests from other school’s they applied to (or they were already accepted ED to Vandy).
I hope this is helpful and not annoying. . .
@hopeful2727 The only annoying thing is that is pretty much exactly what I said, and shorter, in post #544, but you got 7 “helpful” votes and I got nada.
^ that’s funny (I seriously smiled haha)
Therefore, I’ll give you a “like”
@ShouldBeWorking (I’ve seen you in ND forum?)
@Yonkers18 Interview for admissions/scholarships or alumni interview? I have a 3.9 UW and 27 on my ACT. I had an alumni interview, strong CA essay and plenty extracurriculars.
How would a good interview and having an alumnus father factor in?
Anyone find a way to see the decision early like last year? Or do the numbers or words contained within the link sent in the email indicate anything??
@hopeful2727 So if you have all your forms in you won’t get an email? I’ve got about 10 schools requesting on my IDOC and never got an email about them. Even back when one of my forms was missing and IDOC was telling me that institutions were requesting it (if I logged in) I never got emailed
Also, is anyone else getting the YES (Your Enrollment Services) page popping up when they log in to their MyVU account? Is this a good sign??
I am not getting that page popping up so yes it probably is a good sign
@collegebound1915 might be, I’m not getting it + I’m a certain reject.
Yep, @collegebound1915 me too. I like vandy but idk why I’m not really that interested in vandy anymore. I still like the school but I’m just done with life right now.
It happened when I logged in on my phone (if that makes a difference). I was on the normal MyVU app home page and hit the back button and it took me to “YES”. A message in red say “you are not authorized to access this page”.
I doubt it means anything even though I wish it did!
@collegebound1915 i had the same thing when i went on my phone and i freaked out because i thought the YES meant i got in…it only happened once and i haven’t been able to get it again…i don’t really think it means anything but fingers crossed
@collegebound1915 this has been happening to me since the end of February whenever I use my phone. Decisions weren’t totally made then, so I don’t think it’s meaningful and is just a glitch in the system
I don’t see that page popping up for me when i check on my computer, so it’s probably a good sign for everyone else. I pretty much knew I wasn’t going to get accepted…and it’s not the end of the world. I’m happy with the college I might be going to, but Vanderbilt was still my dream school
I have the YES page popping up for me when I log in on my phone, but not on my computer.
My money is on it being a glitch specifically with phones, we’ll see.
Also, good luck to everyone tomorrow.
So basically you type this in, webapp.mis.vanderbilt.edu/adam/unauthorized and you get it. I do not think it means anything whatsoever.
