Everyone stop with the digits lol it has been proven soooo many times that they mean nothing
31 East Coast
30 - International applicant lol. They can’t be time zones. We are just overthinking!
yo please shut up with the digits they don’t mean anything lol
Four and a half more hours!!!
guys its a redirect link to a login page. digits mean nothing. calm down, 4 and a half hours to go. Binge watch daredevil season 2, that’ll take your mind off things
@seniors2016boi Oh come on, get off your high horse.
The numbers mean nothing. It’s just a way for people to cope with the stress of decision time so it’s not really worth getting bitter about…I agree that Netflix would be a better way of spending your time
@seniors2016boi with that SAT score, I’d pretend not to be interested too L-)
@seniors2016boi yeah the 15th best college in the nation is a real joke, and you are just SOO above it
Let’s all stay civil, guys. We’re all anxious and excited to get our decisions.
Why did everyone choose to apply to Vanderbilt?
People are anxious and stressed out and a method of coping is to look for signals or signs of their impending decision. It’s not uncommon for colleges to drop small hints like the digits, or portal changes, or emails, so it’s not strange for CC members to get really obsessed over possible indicators. I get that this thread established that the digits have no correlation with decisions, but there’s no reason to be so rude to people who are genuinely interested in its meaning. Considering there’s only 3 numbers, there really could be a meaning. It could be time zone, decision, region, major, idk. Point is, people are using this “mystery” as a way to pass time while still doing something related to the decisions that come out in a few hours. No need to be rude or start insulting Vanderbilt for having applicants that are genuinely interested and excited for their possible acceptance to the school. -rant over-
@seniors2016boi who’s the idiot responding to idiots
Wow really did not mean to cause so much controversy! I personally think it would be pretty cool if we had figured it out just based on speculation but that reminded me why I don’t bother to comment on threads too often haha. Peace out guys best of luck to all of you.
@seniors2016boi I don’t post on this thread very often, but it some seems people have a tendency to be abrasive douchebags here. First off all, you probably should probably judge a school based on the students they accept, not the ones that simply apply. Second, if you didn’t apply why are you even here? And if you did apply, why? - Did your “lack of interest” not deter you? Finally, I don’t think you have any right questioning if Vanderbilt is a top school or not. You applied to Northeastern as your EA for heaven’s sake.
@jackrabbit14 the savagery is unreal
29 digits and I’m from Georgia
I don’t think they mean anything now though
@seniors2016boi There is no need to be rude. People are just trying to cope with the stress of decisions by making a fun little game and mystery about it! If you don’t want to partake in us trying to relieve our stress by cracking this enigma, you don’t have to comment at all. The saying “If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all” is especially true in your case. Don’t hate on brilliant young adults who actually care about their future. Regardless of whether or not the amount of numbers is a hint, its bonding us together and we are having fun!
Maybe you don’t deserve an acceptance from Vandy because of the way you behave. I’d rather go to school with a “bunch of idiots,” who happen to be intellectual and serious, but still can be silly, have fun, and make others feel good, than with someone who only has perfect grades and no personality.
At least the rest of us “idiots” are in it together, cherishing and supporting each other. That’s the best thing anyone can ask for.
Alright guys, let’s move on from this. It’s not making anyone less anxious.
Why did everyone choose to apply to Vanderbilt?
Guys, let us take a deep breath and meditate!
Auuuuuummmmm… aaaaauuuuummmm…
