***Official SAT I June 2013***

Well i’m hoping for a 2250 in October, wish me luck

yes, good luck to those taking it again in october(i will be taking it again as well)! and congrats to those who did well

math curve i think is

-1: 790
-2: 740

??

Lol does anyone see a chance in a 1300+ CR/M in October when I’m only at 1140? October will be my third try.

same for me, CR killed me. 2320 so I’ll take it. I missed a math question though, hmmm. I hate how there is no Q+A service for june.

What a strange test the SAT is. My daughter went from 1950 with a 670 math in the March test to 2140 with a 790 math in June, after preparing a lot for the March exam and only a little more for the June exam. You just never know what is going to happen… and she’s a good math student but no genius.

easiest math section I have seen in a very long time. I must have made a really stupid mistake to lose those 10 points.

The math curve was this:
-1 790
-2 760
-3 740
-4 720 So it was a very good curve.

Pretty glad with this score! But because it was my first sat and I’m only a sophomore, I’m planning on retaking it. What do you guys reccomend besides practice, practice and practice? Thanks

Alright how the hell does this happen…I studied my butt off in October and got a 2200, I don’t study at all in June and get a 2390… Guys, some advice for juniors is take apush and ap Lang before taking the sat.

2200

Really disappointed with the math because I was scoring 800s in practice test, but I was really surprised by my writing score. All in all, I’m not too sad, because I still need to actually study for it and hopefully I’ll do better when I’m a junior.

also @Remi56783, that is a great score! I am in your same position and I really don’t know any other advice to give you, because it you seem well rounded overall, except for writing. Maybe just work on some writing stuff so you can boost your multiple choice answers. Otherwise, with a score like that, you seem naturally hardworking and intelligent, so study, study, study and reap the rewards! (well, at least I hope that’s how it goes :D)

I got a 2070…is that a score worth sending to colleges? I’m a to-be Junior and I was kinda disappointed because I was aiming for the 2100-2200 range this first time.

Also, when is the best time to take it again?

swampnav, don’t feel down. 2070 great score for sophomore. You should probably wait till next march to take it again

okay thank you. but how about sending it? should i send this score?

Does anyone know the critical reading curve?

Two dumb wrong in math. Could’ve been a 2390. Ugh I hate this test. I can’t even be happy. Jk I’m ecstatic but still, hate the SAT

2160 - Is that ok for applying to Ivy level? Such as UPenn and MIT? It was my score on my second time around.

@benlatz, keep in mind that sat score distribution at HYPSM (etc) tends to be skewed to the left, so although many people have scores that fall into the mid 50% range for these schools, they don’t realize that the majority of admitted students have scores that fall at the high end of the range or even exceed the range

thus, a 2160 will probably not cut it for Ivy Level; nevertheless, that is an excellent score for your second time, and your CR can easily be brought up with practice – this is what I did, and it truly paid off on this june SAT

CR: 800
Math: 790
W: 800
Composite: 2390
