for the egg and nuclei experiment....was cloning the correct answer?

i think the answer for determining nature selection is reproducing

wats the answer for the linked genes?
is linked genes only on sex chromosomes?
wat are the answers to the molecular part lab questions
there was a question on inhibiting something for RNA
and testing for known acids, bases, CO2, and breathe.

and for the last plant lab question, was is both respiration and calvin cycle or just respiration?

and for the temperature lab questions, was the answer mammals adapt to environment differently? or was it opposum similar to platypus ducks more than to cats? what was the correct answer?

and what about the chromosome numbers? i think it had 48 chromosomes.

and the first molecular part questions

what was mitosis? does it replicate chromosomes????
and what was the difference between heating glucose and using it in respiration?

theonlyone,
are you sure it is reproducing?

yes, i am sure the clone one was the correct answer

about the plant pic, what was the numbers one? choices are like 1 2 4 6. i am not sure the choice, but what was the answer about dicot

something like, seed, mouse, snake, another animal, flea

theonlyone,l
inked gene are not only in sex chormosome.
inhibit RNA was right.
i put the related to cat one.
alcohol heat b/c get rid of the color of cholorophll
yes, mitosis replicate chromosome
i put respiration only

i read in the evolutions chapter that the more offsprings u reproduce the more "fit" you are

and what was the right answer for photosynthesis
does it use more atp than produced, or does it need to be initiated by energy?

and was one of the answers genetic drift?, where 6 individuals died due to a storm

was the correct answer inhibit RNA before or after?
i put before

and what were the answers for the galactodase and lactose lab?

and what was the answer to the why infertilization occured?
there was roman numerals I, II, III. so confusing...

theonlyone,
if you read the previous posts most of your questions were answered, but ill write them again.

i thought the natural selection question was survival.
i put both respiration and calvin cycle.
mammals adapt differently.
48 chromosomes.
mitosis replicates chromosomes and puts a copy in each new cell.
glucose in respiration makes more energy. im not sure about this one.

for the answer to the dicot, i think i put 1, 2, 4

the leaf with brances, and flower with 5 buds

the option for mitosis questions was:
"mitosis replicates chromosomes and puts one copy of chromosome in each new cell."

doesnt that result in haploid nubmers of chromosomes?

anyone know for sure what the correct answer the cat opposum lab questions is? is it mammals adapt differnt or opposums are more like ducks

-photosynthesis is initiated by energy.
-i put genetic drift but i think thats wrong.
-inhibits before.
-for infertilization, i thought it was all reasons except the one with the surge in hormone level because the princeton book had almost the same exact question.

for the mitosis one, if one copy of each chromosome is put into the daughter cells than that results in the same number as before. therefore its diploid.

i didn't put genetic drift. i don't remember what i put. can you give the other answer choices

how come replicating chromosomes is wrong?

replicating chromosomes is the right answer.

A) replicates chromosomes
B) mitosis replicates chromosomes and puts a copy in each new cell.

wasnt that the options?

and does cyanobacteria have a mitochondria or was the answer "they can divide" or something like that

I think the photosynthesis one was how much carbon dioxide is consumed, not oxygen consumed.

the trisomy was 49?

of chromosomes: 48 or 46? it asked for somatic (body)

gamete: 24

oh, okay i see what you are asking. the replicating chromosome answer alone would not be right because mitosis is nuclear division. so the whole point is so that a copy of the chromosomes are in each new cell. and cyanobacteria dont have mitochondria because they are bacteria.
