dont remember implied powers question...

that was the first bank of united states question.

so it was an easy question? i just dont remember it

gxing...around 770 - 760

What was the Sacco & Vanzetti question/answer? And we're only 3 away from the whole list...quite sad. ;x

Discrimination agaist immigrants and anarchists.

ah..what else are we missing...soo close

I'm taking the USHist test in June. Any advice?

social security question or wrong test?

Discrimination against anarchists/immigrants was on the SAT II? I know it was on the AP (what was the biggest reason that immigration declined in the 1920s), but I put immigration quotas for that one .

thebillsfan, what prep book are you using? If you're preparing for the test now you should be fine. Expect a lot of charts, cartoons, and graphs that ask you to interpret data about certain time periods. They shouldn't be that hard though, just don't rush through them.

julina, i'm using barrons (oh god)...and i know it's a lot harder than the real thing, but does the book prepare you well for the test?

Check the thread about USH book, thebillsfan. I read through Barron's for the first few chapters or so, and then I just stopped and reverted to AMSCO. I'm sure it overprepares you (like always), but if you have the time to read it, it can't be detrimental either. What practice tests are you going to use though?

well the barron's practice tests are all i have right now...do you think i should buy a book with better ones? And what's AMSCO?

Omg, seriously DO NOT USE BARRON'S PRACTICE TESTS, I'm not even joking. I did that practice test and I got more Qs wrong on that than on the AP or SAT II. You notice how some questions ask you to label a map? That's outdated. Or when they give you like "Speaker A, speaker B, etc"? That's outdated as well. I remember taking the Barron's test and there was one such "speaker" set of Qs about like stocks and bonds. Sooooo confusing and absolutely irrelevant on the test. You could use it to study, but the practice tests will NOT help you at all. Wow, I sound like such a Barron's hater...but the SAT II USH book sucks, I mean it.

AMSCO, on the other hand, is prep book that actually helps. I used AMSCO AP USH to study for both the AP and the SAT II. Sufficiently covered all areas - the only downside is that it only has 1 practice test (and no answer key, have to get that online). Since the AP and SAT II Qs are quite similar (at least I found them to be so), that one AMSCO test prolly reflected the Qs better than all the Barron's tests combined. - -; What about switching to PR, Kaplan, or REA?

haha...i COULD switch, but that costs money (i guess it's worth it). my brother has an old REA AP USH book...do you think that would work?

How old? ;p I've heard many good things about REA, although I've never used it personally. If you could study from that book and use its practice tests, throw Barron's to the side.

Eh, I'm not gonna cancel, but I'm signing up for the June administration.

it's from 2003. I took a practice test (80 questions) and missed about 25...that's still quite a few. But then again, it is AP...

haha nooo the longest thread in collegconfidential history cannot just vanish! lets keep it coming..i cant wait till scores come out tos ee how all of us did

i doubt this is the longest thread ever......
