What was the answer for the phyla one? I left it blank since I only studied domains and kingdoms…it was something with bilateral symmetry. Mollusk, Chordata, Cnidarian, etc?
@CollageWhat Mollusks are bilaterally symmetrical.
@CollageWhat Just going back to the mitosis question, it could be prophase because that is when the microtubules start to form. You may be right though.
Did it say deuterostome and notochord? That one was chordata I think…
does anyone remember the genetic questions in the regular section? (non-molecular section) Were the answers 1/16 and 0?
@vmiller7723 Yep that sounds right. The 1/16 for sure.
Cool. I actually thought the E section had some difficult questions. Those ones with the Roman numerals are usually pretty hard.
I thought the pine one’s answer was about precipitation since they mentioned mountains, and theres that whole thing about how one side is drier than the other because of how air rises etc
@NYyoshi Yeah, the rainshadow effect. I omitted that question tho. Could be.
Ah nevermind. I found a website that talked about this:
http://geologyhappens.blogspot.com/2011/01/geology-begets-biology-north-facing-vs.html
Looks like its cause of sun and evaporation?
wow… so far i got like 4 wrong
I hope that website is wrong lol
So the DNA sequence question about the mutations, was it point mutation or inversion?
i think it was inversion
@NYyoshi definitely inversion
Aw. I put point mutation. Didn’t even know what inversion was lol…It could have been a bunch of point mutations?
I guessed inversion
I didn’t think there could be any insertions or deletions cause there wasn’t any frameshift. So I put point cause only a couple of nucleotides were mutated
Did u guys get substitution for one. It was about a thingy being inherited more than once.
That was forsure inversion
I spent a solid 10 minutes looking for the inverted piece before I found it.
It was in the M section I think and it was like something about genetic inheritance idk
